1977 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado Description

*1977 CHEVROLET C10 SUBURBAN* * One Family Owned * * ONLY 40K Actual MILES!! * * Unrestored, Excellent Condition * * Silverado Trim, 454 CI, Automatic * * Very Difficult Truck to Find! *

Before you and up for bid is my 1977 Chevrolet C10 Suburban Silverado. Please take the time to read the entire listing, it's for your benefit. I am thorough in my description so as to provide sufficient information in order for one to make an informed decision. Thank you.
The particulars of the truck are as follows:
* One family owned N. Dakota/Colorado ranch truck. An ordered Suburban purchased new, delivery was taken on 4/15/77. (tax day) from Dean Bender Chevrolet in Killdeer, N. Dakota.
* ONLY 40,506 actual miles since new!
* Garaged and pampered, non-smoker owned truck that was fastidiously taken care of.
* It's not that the Suburban is clean, it was never permitted to get dirty.
* NO accident collision history ever
* One repaint approximately 22 years ago in original GM 65 Buckskin. The finish still looks great with excellent reflection. The picture of the hood showing the reflection is indicative of the paint on the entire body There are a few small areas of surface bubbling, easy repaired with the dent on the tail gate. (see pics)

* Classic Chevrolet "like a rock" solid truck, never exposed to salt or winter corrosives
* An ordered C10 Suburban, it is very well appointed, included in the photographs is a shot of the dealer order form with the selected equipment.
* Silverado trim level, top of the three trim line in '77. ( Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale, Silverado)
* Save for the aforementioned repaint, along with miscellaneous items that necessitated replacement given to time or wear, this is an ALL ORIGINAL Suburban, not a restored example.
* Every comfort and safety feature is fully operational. ( horn, lights, turn signals, side markers, reverse lights, wipers, etc.)
* The interior is in immaculate condition. The seats were always protected, the second row was seldom sat upon and most often was folded to increase the cargo area.
* 6 passenger seating, ordered w/o the 3rd row as the cargo area was for horse tack. A mat protected this area as well which accounts for the condition you see.
* 454 CI V8, 4 bbl carburetor, hit the key and the truck fires to life, it runs, drives and stops entirely as one would expect from a 40K mile truck! It runs incredibly strong. There are NO annoying drips or leaks. Immaculate engine compartment, the windshield reservoir cap is missing, I have sourced one and will provide it.
* TH400 Automatic transmission, shifts amazingly smooth through the range and into reverse, the gear selector readout aligns properly. Factory transmission cooler.
* Power steering, power brakes
* 3.40 rear axle, 12 bolt
* Every button, knob, stalk and switch is present, the fan and temperature position switches move fully and smoothly into place
* The dash is PERFECT, NO cracks, splits, warping or sun damage! Amazing!
* The upholstery truly needs to be seen to be appreciated. It is a factory upgrade, (see order form pic) It's comparable to how grandma's furniture was preserved and protected with plastic slip covers. The front seat was fully covered with a western blanket cover, it will accompany the sale. As a collector/hobbyist for 40 years, this seat is right up there with the finest originals I have ever seen. NO wear, no seam splits, no cracked vinyl...NO disappointments!
* The 4 door panels are in excellent condition, the 2 front panels have been refurbished for these are where arms rest, they look great. (see pics)
* Very good original carpet throughout
* Excellent kick panels, very good sun visors
* The headliner is coming loose in areas, it is original. I have a very good upholsterer here in Florida that could replace it with contemporary "spongy" fabric or, I could have him order material which is very similar to the white with black dot pattern that the truck was born with. He did the headliner in my 1976 C30 "Big Dooley" crew cab last year, it came out wonderful. We can discuss your preference for this.
* All weather stripping is soft and pliable. All door window sweeps and window channels are in very good condition, not deteriorated.
* Power rear window in the tailgate, it works properly. The channel is in good condition, the sweep does have cracks though no pieces are missing. The tail gate opens and closes properly.
* All door windows roll up and down smoothly
* The door locks all operate properly either manually or by key.
* All glass is original, the windshield has a small chip that was resin repaired, the windows all have a subtle window tint applied. It is older and coming up in a couple of areas. I would replace it with a newer metal base 30% myself.
* The bumpers are in excellent condition, no dings, discoloration, or chrome pitting. The luster is amazing. One could shave in the area beneath where the front Chevy Heartbeat plate is mounted.
* Very nice grill, no breaks, the Chevrolet gold "bow tie" is missing
* The chrome body trim on each side does have various small dings
* All model and manufacturer body emblems are present
* True factory dual exhaust, sounds great!
* Factory 40 gallon fuel tank
* Factory tow equipped receiver w/operable wiring harness connector
* PERFECT tilt steering wear, NO cracks, stickiness or wear
* All gauges and function monitor lights are fully operational, NO jumpy speedometer needle
* Cruise control, works great!
* Intermittent wipers, new blades
* Period CLARION AM/FM/Cassette, works great, windshield antenna
* Front and rear AC both operate properly, the compressor engages, however, it is not very cold. A change out of the schrader valve and a refrigerant recharge should resolve this.
* Period dealer accessories include the luggage roof rack, GM mud flaps, DEE ZEE running boards, an acrylic hood bug/stone guard, and a period operational TEKONSHA brake controller. There was a whip antenna on the left rear, the base is present, the antenna is removed.
* Original bottle jack and tire tool in their under hood provision
* In advance of the sale, the truck has been gone through bumper to bumper. Servicing included new belts, hoses, filters, fresh fluids, brake service, wheel bearing repack, new battery and 4 new MICHELIN LTX2 tires.
* The 4 original hub caps are in very good condition
* Full size TOYO spare in excellent condition, the provision for the spare had paint wear but no rust. (see pic) I cleaned it, hand sanded it, primered it, and then sprayed it with undercoating
* Original keys, owners manual, warranty information card, miscellaneous operational pamphlets, order build form, and sales brochure will accompany the sale.
* At 40 years of age, this C10 SUBURBAN is in remarkable condition. It always garners nice comments and receives the "thumbs up".The feel of the truck is tight...as it should be. If you have been searching for a Suburban of this era, you'd be hard pressed to find another one comparable to this in condition, ownership history, and miles.
You are bidding to purchase the Suburban, not to be the first to "look at it". Thank you.
Please consult with your spouse, therapist, pet, or MAGIC 8-BALL prior to placing your bid, as I am not running a clinic for the confused. Thank you.
Please have your funding in place prior to place your bid, as most lending institutions will not finance collector vehicles.
Inspections are welcomed, encouraged, and will be facilitated to the best of my ability prior to the auction concluding.
The Suburban and I are presently located in S.W. Florida. (Naples/Ft. Myers vicinity)
Transportation and/or delivery is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I can recommend a reputable shipper if need be, or will coordinate with your chosen shipper to schedule the pick up.
I own a single transport (Hodges Hauler), the Suburban was brought to Florida in this manner. I will deliver the Suburban to anywhere in the lower 48 states for $1000.00. (non-negotiable)
Generally I say, older vehicles are just that...old, and to get them home first before becoming familiar with them. However, with regard to this C10 Suburban, I would not hesitate to jump in it and drive it to anywhere in America!
If you choose to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the S.W. Florida International Airport in Ft. Myers, or the regional airport in Punta Gorda.
I have set a reasonable and fair reserve for the Suburban. It is commensurate with the trucks condition, the ownership history, and the very low miles. DO NOT ask me what the reserve is, as I will NOT disclose it. Bid what you can afford and are willing to pay for the exemplary condition, amazingly low mileage, one owner, all original, unrestored, 1977 Chevrolet C10 Suburban Silverado that you see before you.
** If you are "new" to ebay, have 0% feedback, less than 15 transactions, excessive negative feedback, or inactivity on ebay despite being a lengthy member, you will need to call me prior to placing your bid and express your intentions. (convince me that you're a legitimate buyer)If you do not call me prior, your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from further bidding.This is to preserve the integrity of the auction and the legitimate ebay community which I count myself among. Too often recently, individuals bid with no intention of fulfilling their purchase commitment.
I am am legitimate seller simply seeking a legitimate buyer with the integrity to honor their word. As mentioned early in the listing, I provide thorough information for the vehicle. I would not and don't expect others to bid with limited to no information. Thank you.
I am not a dealer, I am a collector/hobbyist. I have sold more than 30 of my personal vehicles through eBay in 11 years. Almost all have had their expectations exceeded. Where collector vehicles are concerned, condition is open to interpretation. I have represented the Suburban honestly and accurately. Please have realistic expectations for a 40 year old truck.
A $1000.00 initial payment is due and payable within 24 hours of auction close VIA PayPal. NO EXCEPTIONS!
The balance is then due and payable within 7 days of auction close under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer. The balance is to be paid VIA a legitimate bank to bank wire transfer, as it provides a documented record of the transaction for both parties.
I DO NOT accept PayPal for the entire purchase, only the initial $1000.00.
If you are to fly in and drive home, I will accept cash in person provided that it is within the 7 days of auction close window.
If you intend to pick up the vehicle yourself, I can provide storage for a period to be determined provided that the truck has been paid for in full.
Upon receipt of payment in full, I will overnight VIA FEDEX the title and bill of sale to the new owner. If you are to fly in and drive home, or arrive to trailer the truck yourself, I will offer the option of hand delivering these documents to you upon said arrival.
eBay provides for 24 pictures. I have selected pictures that best present a concise overview of the truck. If you would like any area specific pictures, simply request them.
If you would like to discuss a "buy it now", call me and present your offer. DO NOT call and ask me, "what's the lowest that you'll take?"
I answer my phone quicker than I respond to e-mail, call me directly with any questions, I'm easy to talk with. With that said, my phone and I are not attached at the hip. If you call and reach voice mail, leave me a brief message along with a contact number, and I will return your call promptly.
These classic square bodied Suburban's are becoming quite scarce. To find one in this condition, with miles this low, a one ownership history, and having never been wrecked or modified, is nearly impossible.
Easily a daily driver as it is or to tow your classic boat, AIRSTREAM, camper, or horse trailer.
I'm realistic on the value of the "Burb" and what I believe it should and will bring. The auction commences with a bid equivalent to the year of the truck and goes from there...it is for sale and will be sold. If there is a nicer, lower mileage, original example available for the money...buy it!
Thanks for looking and good luck when you bid!
