1961 Chevrolet Corvair Monza
This three owner Chevrolet Corvair Monza started its life as part of the Bob McDorman Dealership and personal museum collection in Columbus, Ohio. In 2000 when Bob passed away his wife sold the car to a gentleman in Illinois. The bill of sale documents 17,000 miles at the time of that sale. The Corvair was kept in that private collection until 2016 when it made its way to San Diego.
This is an extremely original Corvair. The only thing not original is the paint which was redone in the original color back in 2006. The interior, the engine, the transmission, everything is original to this car all the way down to the original 1961 owner’s manual. The previous owner had full intentions of driving and showing the car and did the following work to make it road worthy: rebuilt generator with new battery and cables; rebuilt starter, two rebuilt carburetors and a complete tune up.
Everything works on this car including the original AM radio. They’re only original once. Always kept indoors. Includes: two-keys, custom California Car Cover, maintenance manuals, documentation, spare parts and touch-up paint.
