1969 Chevrolet LS9 Hendricks Camaro
You are viewing one of the most expensive and best performing Pro Touring 69 Camaros ever built. 500K to build this master piece. Commissioned and built for Rick Hendricks by Kent Waters of Kent Waters Originals. The car is in new condition with only 100 miles or so. Just enough to get it sorted out. Basically it is a street legal race car. The design, project management and implementation of the plan to incorporate NASCAR features in the build separates this car from other Pro Touring built 69 Camaros. It is a master piece of fabrication and engineering with many aftermarket parts suppliers invited to join in on this innovative build. Many one off features were used. The car has never been shown and has been keep away out of the public eye. Perfect car to use for the Optima Street Car Challenge. The best aspect of the car is the overall engineering that went into the build particularly the custom chassis and suspension. Now available for sale.

Body/Paint:
The body is primarily stock keeping the beautiful and popular lines of the 69 with many custom features not initially seen until you learn about how the body was incorporated into the suspension and chassis. What is hidden is the monocoque chassis design connecting all aspects of the body and suspension providing a very solid ride built for performance. Even though the car was built to be street driven and enjoyed on the road it is built like a race car with many hi performance NASCAR features. This was all by design due to Rick Hendricks influence. Carbon fiber hood, cowl, valance, front and rear spoilers. Front fenders, header panel, bumpers and trunk lid is aluminum. Many areas have been drilled to lessen the weight of the car. Brake and fuel lines are hidden in the extended rocker panels. The rockers are also altered to lift the car in the middle as well as to ad weights internally on both sides to customize G force depending on the track. Custom made steel inner fenders. Trunk has a gas tank breather along with rear sway bar adjuster. Carbon fiber tail light housings along with coil over shock adjusters.

Interior: The cage is a DOM seamless tubing. Hi quality leather and carbon fiber throughout. Custom dual battery in series mounted underneath in the back. Custom features with ash tray laptop plug in, power off switch in the glove box. SPEK NASCAR gauges, which are very trick with all the vitals and more. The custom console serves as the backbone to the monocoque chassis with cross beams to rockers with support and connections to all aspects of the suspension all underneath the interior. Full custom interior with comfort and performance in mind. No carpet, carbon fiber floor panels front and back. Custom gauge panel one off designed and molded with carbon fiber. Tilt, custom foot pedal assembly with custom shifter. Vintage AC with racing belts. Very nice and functional with a clean finished touch. Custom door panel and seats. All interior carbon fiber pieces are custom made in house at Hendricks Motor Sports.

Running Gear: LS9 with big blower snout Lingenfelter conversion with under drive pulley producing 676 HP. The transmission is a HD Liberty Tremec TKO 600 designed for road racing and can be shifted up to 8K rpm. Not you’re regular Tremec. RAM LS9 clutch package. The rear end is a Detroit Speed set up with Moser axles. Engine compartment is comprised with many custom racing features including a dry sump oil reservoir 3 gallon capacity with air tank and filter screen. GM performance drive kit.

Suspension: Detroit Speed multi-link rack and pinion front and rear suspension customized to integrate into the custom frame. Detroit Speed 3X3 mandrel bent frame rails with no spot welds. Custom sub frame. Custom sway bars with rear racket adjustable NASCAR style in the trunk. The rear suspension is adjustable and very stout with hydraulic coil over shocks with adjusters in the trunk. The best part of this car is the suspension many hours of engineering and labor to integrate into the body.

Brakes: Corvette ZR1 4 wheel big carbon ceramic braking package with Brembo calipers. Big stopping power.

Exhaust: Super nice and professional stainless steel exhaust with Borla mufflers. Custom made stainless headers.

Bright work: Restored or replaced with great fit and finish. Custom grill and door handles.

Glass: All new

Wheels/Tires: Forgeline wheels with 275/35 AR 19 front and 325/30 ZR19 rears.
