1949 Chevrolet Deluxe 3800 pickup with 19,000 original miles belonged to a Norwegian bachelor farmer in South Dakota. Due to health issues he moved in with a neighbor’s family who took excellent care of him. I heard about the truck and corresponded with the caretaker family many times. After many conversations, a friend and I decided to go pheasant hunting in South Dakota and also look at the truck.
Upon arriving in South Dakota, I met with the Norwegian bachelor and the caretaker family. All of the original documents were kept. (The temporary license plate, battery guarantee, owner service policy, record of service, oil changes, etc. breaking in your engine brochure, and the original manual.)
The full factory body off restoration was completed in 2005. The only modifications is the 12 volt conversion, and a rebuilt 261 cu. in. 6 cylinder engine. (Original 216 engine comes with the truck). Low miles since restoration. Not one rattle. Runs and drives great, the high speed rear end enables interstate speeds. Please call for additional information and pictures 208-755-3334.
