1973 Chevrolet g10 cargo van "shorty"
1973 Chevrolet G20 Van Description
1973 Chevrolet shorty van, runs good, daily driver, registered, clean Texas title in hand. 250 or 292 straight 6 with a th 350 trans with shift kit....some times chirps into 2nd gear. The only real issue is it needs new valve guide seals because it smokes when I start it up then it clears up after about a minute. It is a 1973 so don't expect a new car quality, it's a classic van that is very desirable! I started to strip the white paint on the areas were the old body filler was cracking and left the orig yellow were it it. It has disc brakes in front but the power booster is out solike manual brakes.....makes your leg muscle strong. Water temp sits at 190° but will go up if sitting to long. When I drive it on the freeway it revs pretty high wich is telling me it's got maybe 373s or maybe 411 gears in the differential. But I'm going about 80 -100 miles an hour. The belts start to squeal at high speeds, need to get about a 1" shorter belt on there. It has very little rus, only a few spots that are smal, bottom corner of driver door and passenger side lower rocker in front of rear wheel well I believe. Also the windshield is cracked but i have a new ppg front windshield that is good and will include. I would drive this van from Austin to Southern California if I change the belts and get a taller tire in rear so it's not reving so high. I trust it.
