1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Description

1970 Chevelle SS
Up for sale is a NUMBERS MATCHING 1970 Chevelle with the exception of the exhaust manifolds and the original carburetor. This car has been taken down to the original sheet metal, epoxy primered, and repainted in the original Gobie Beige paint color. The rear quarter panels have both been replaced with full quarters as well as a one piece trunk pan. The frame has been blasted and painted, and all brakes, lines, etc. have been replaced. All wiring upgraded new.
The chevelle has its original 350 hp 396 as well as the original muncie 4 speed m21 transmission and 331 posi-trac rear end. Engine has been overhauled to factory specs and transmission has been gone through and checks out fine, as well as the rear end. Car is a factory bench seat car with an over the bench shifter. It also has the original cowl-hood and green faced gauges w/ factory tachometer. The mileage on the odometer I believe to be original. I am the third owner of the car and have the original title as well as the protect-o-plate and original keytag from the dealer. Unfortunately i do not have a buildsheet.
The paint on the car is what i would consider a 7/10 due to some dirt in the clear coat. Engine might have 10 miles on it. We have been working on this car for around 4 years. There are still some things that need addressed:
Shifting linkage upgraded or rebuilt as it wants to stick in between 1st and 2nd. Shifter needs rechromed. Emergency brake needs hooked up (have parts), need wiper blades and wiper motor, needs new hood hinges installed (have new hinges that go with the car). Car is for sale only because we are trying to help our son pay for college.
I know where this car came from originally and the local dealer which it was bought at that no longer exists. This will make someone a good car for a decent price. More pictures can be sent upon request, of restoration or of finished car.
Thank you for looking!
