1969 Chevrolet Chevelle #'s Matching Malibu Description

You are bidding on a RARE, Numbers-Matching, TRUE 1969 Chevy Malibu Convertible with only 88k miles and EVERYTHING WORKS! This Gorgeous Frame-off restored convertible is in GREAT condition with a beautiful factory Burgundy paint job!

TURN KEY… just drop the top and drive this one home!

The original 350ci motor and TH350 trans were both rebuilt during the restoration which was done in the Late 90’s. The black interior is in great shape along with the convertible top. This is a base (135) Malibu, not a cloned Chevelle like so many out there. This Rare Chevy has PS, PB, Power Top, black bucket seats and console. This is a rare muscle car that’s in very nice condition with all systems working beautifully! A true muscle car that runs great, looks cool and is a convertible! This car was only driven in nice weather since the restoration- no snow, salt or even rain and has been stored in a heated garage.

This is a rare classic car with a low reserve to protect some of its value. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale.

The Body is in great shape and is super straight with no major dings or dents! It had a high end repaint during restoration. Being a 20-year old restoration it is in super condition still! All the floor, trunk and exterior panels are original except for both quarters which had past damaged and were replaced with GM panels (GM 80’s labels still on them) during the restoration. The car has most everything it was born with and was restored if possible or replaced with NOS parts during the restoration.

The car was repainted its factory BURGUNDY (paint code 67) color and the paint job is still very nice and shiny with no runs or sags and has a nice deep wet look still. Being a 20+ year-old paint job, it does have some minor flaws, mainly on the driver-side fender lip where the owner’s kids bikes rubbed against it. Also during the restoration it appears both door rear, bottom corners had body filler for repairs. It’s respectable but no longer a concourse car because of some of the paint flaws. Some restoration to these areas would make this car a show-winner again! Barring that, the rest of the car is in beautiful shape! The chrome, stainless and brite work pieces are in great shape with just the minor aging from sitting. These items could be buffed/polished out. The weatherstrippings are original GM pieces and are in good condition. Windshield and glass are all in good condition. Rear bumper is in great condition, nice and shiny with no pitting.

Convertible top is in good shape and in perfect working order. The glass window is in great condition. The black top is nice with no stains, rips or tears but could use a deep cleaning.

The Interior is ALL-original and in exceptional condition for it’s age! No fading, rips, tears or issues. Seats, carpeting, door panels, console and dash still look great! Could use a detailing to bring out all the beauty. Driver seat has 2 marks in the backrest area, just wanted to note, nothing bad.

Headlights, marker lights, directionals, horn, radio and HVAC controls ALL WORK! All the dash gauges and instrument lights work. Even the ignition buzzer works! All the windows, doors, locks, hood and trunk operate as they should.

The Drivetrain components are the original units it was born with. The drivetrain, brakes and suspension systems were all overhauled during a restoration. The engine is a 350ci 2bbl that was rebuilt along with the 3-speed TH350 automatic transmission during the restoration. Engine starts right up and runs beautifully smooth with no noise, smoke or even leaks! Most of the engine components are original. This muscle car runs great, shifts fine, steers where you want her and has good (4-wheel drum) brakes!

The Undercarriageis in super-clean original condition. The floor pans and frame are original and in GREAT condition! Frame, floor pans, trunk drop-offs and rockers are all original and in super-solid painted condition. The stock exhaust system is in really good condition. The 15” B.F.Goodrich tires are in great shape with lots of tread and the Rallye wheels are really nice with beautiful trim rings.

Other info:

The car is an older restoration and has had a couple of owners who drove and enjoyed it. It could use a whole car detailing to bring out its beauty. It’s not perfect but can be enjoyed as is or with minimal investment restored to its “Like New” condition.

Comes with clear Ohio title and 2 sets of keys.

Factory spare tire and jack are in the trunk.

No trades.

I have made my best effort to accurately represent the car based on my expertise as a vehicle builder, what I have observed in evaluating it and preparing it for sale, and what I have been told by the owner, but this is the extent of my knowledge. Please ask questions before bidding! This is being solid AS IS with no warranty or guarantees and is up to the buyer to verify any and all info listed above in the description! You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle. This vehicle is also for sale locally. Again, this is a classic vehicle that has been driven and enjoyed. It’s not perfect or a museum piece so there may be minor imperfections in the body, brite work and glass. Anything to note is listed above.
