1972 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500 Description

1972 Chevy C30 Custom Ramp Truck

This is a very original and lowmileage (35,442)C30 truck which has a Hodges ride on ramp bed (very few of these trucks exist), it is the perfect truck to haul your show car, drag car, project car, rat rod or cruise it just like it is. This is a slick truck that would make anyoneproudto own it. This is a very clean, solid and mechanically sound truck. The Reserve price is well below the investment. Reserve price is not a buy it now price. This is not a must sell, if the reserve is not met we will continue to market the truck locally. Please read the entire description, as I spent allot of time describing this vehicle. These 1970's body style chevy trucks are getting tough to findin this condition and this one is a true C30 1 Ton dual wheel hauler!! A 1970's classic C30 pick up with the best ramp bed in the industry (Hodges) this istrulya must have for any car or truck guy! Don't let this rare truck pass if your in the market, becuase it is a good one! I will take any pictures and or videos of this truck that you may need for the serious buyers.

( The VIN number by request )

EXTERIOR-

The body on this truck is straight with no exterior rust on the truck or bed, it does have 1 small rust spot under the far left drive side floor board near parking brake an it about the size of a tennis ball. The truck & the bed have a very slick black paint job on it, all art work (flames) is smooth and under the clear coat, although it has 1 smallspot where the clear coat has peeled on thepassengerside top front fender. The paint shows very good on this truck, it has deep wet gloss look with noswirlsor runs! All body panels line up good, doors open and close very easy, all glass is in good condition, wheels and tires are also in very good condition with 70% tread left on matching tires & wheels. The Hodges bed is solid and rust free, it has 4 nice big side boxes, winch with remote, easy out ramps andreceiverhitch for towing.Front bumper is in good condition, trucks lights all work, it has extra spaces for lights on the ramp bed if you wanted to light the floor and front of the bed. Notice in pictures the top of the cab where marker lights are, the lights are not just add on lights they are molded to the cab which also proves this a true C30 1 ton!! The bed width is 85 1/2 inches and 18 feet 10 1/2 inches long.

INTERIOR-

The interior in this truck is original with bucketseats and the center console (hard to find option). Rubber floor, seats, door panels and dash are clean and in very good condition with little to no wear, drive seat has a small opening in the side piping on the seat (just needs to bethreadedback together to be perfect). All factory gauges work as they should, added a temp gauge just to see actualtemperature. The interior of this truck is complete down to the sunvisors. All door and window seal are still in great condition.

DRIVETRAIN-

The odometer shows 35,442 miles which are stated as original by previous owner. I can say that I had a mechanic completely go over this truck to make sure it wasroadworthy, it was used on the weekend by the previous owner to haul his hot rod! The 350 motor runs out strong, starts with ease eveytime with no smoke at start up or at operatingtemperature, it has good power, no knocks, pings. Automatic transmission shifts solid as it should with no issues. It has no slipping or shutter. Steering is tight on the truck, brakes are good, tires are balanced so truck rides nice free from shakes or wobbles. This truck runs great, rides/drives like a lowmileage1 ton pickup truck should. This is a very solid truck but it is 44 years old so I highly recommend & prefer anyone interested come look at, inspect & drive the truck prior to bidding. If you cannot come inspect then I recommend you have the vehicle inspected, by a reputable inspection company.

KNOWN ISSUE-

The small opening in drivers seat that needs to be re-stitched, the small spot where clear coat peeled on top ofpassengerfender, the small rust spot on the drivers side floor that can only be seen from under the truck and you might want to bed line the flat part of the ramp bed onlybecauseit shows some fading.
