1961 Chevrolet Corvair Lakewood Station Wagon 700 Description

1961 CHEVROLET CORVAIR LAKEWOOD 700 WAGON

This rare gem is a great rust free Arizona Car. I am the forth owner in over 55 years. We replaced all ball joints, tie rods, rebuilt the steering box, brake cylinders, cleaned the fuel tank, rebuilt the entire brake system and replaced all rubber parts and anything else that needed replacing including brake lines. I replaced both floor pans in the front all thought they weren't that bad. I pulled the drivetrain and reinstalled it after replacing all trans, diff and motor seals. The motor ran great and had great compression I replaced all of the rear rubber suspension mounts, all shocks and anything else that was worn. I reinstalled the drivetrain after replacing all seals and thoroughly cleaning and inspecting everything virtually every moving part has either been rebuilt or replaced. The car needs the distributor reinstalled and sent off to paint. The interior is original and I intended on reusing the seats but replacing the door panels. I she has new tires on her that have never been driven on. The custom red carpet is still in its box ready for installation. Right rear quarter panel glass is in tact but needs installed. New Battery

She has a small dent on the left rear wheel well.

No missing parts, she is ready to be completed and driven.

Roof rack is very rare and coveted by other Lakewood owners. Headliner is in descent shape. I have a reprint of the original Corvair owners manual and a mint condition Arizona 1961 (blue on white) license plate to add to this sweet deal.

I am happy to send you more pictures and answer any other questions you may have.

(In answers to a questions...)
Yes, the form on eBay leaves no option for the "Flat 6 ". It is stated that to is a V6 flat... I do understand it is not a "V"I have placed an additional comment stating the engine type.
The engine was up on the block running with good compression."The motor ran great and had great compression I replaced all of the rear rubber suspension mounts, all shocks and anything else that was worn. I reinstalled the drivetrain after replacing all seals and thoroughly cleaning and inspecting everything virtually every moving part has either been rebuilt or replaced. I can send you a picture of the right side. There is no damage to the right side, as stated in the post- "Right rear quarter panel window is present (no damage) but needs installed)
This is a restoration project, the post lists all that has been done to the car.
