1971 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe Description

NO RESERVE AUCTION!
This car is a one-of-a-kind example of the timeless and highly desired GM F-body. Only 14,100+/- COMPLETELY ORIGINAL miles. Built for speed and built to last. Never raced or abused. Always adult driven. A blast to drive!!

Short story: the car sold new in Ketchikan, Alaska. There are limited paved roads there so the car was driven very little. The second owner purchased it in 1973 and began the custombuild you see here in 1985 or 86. After all the mechanicals were completed (I have quite a bit of the original documents) it sat for idle for several years in the paint shop, finally coming out sometime in the early 90’s. It was then shipped by the owner/builder to Seattle to serve as a commute vehicle when he visited his condo there. His son (my son-in-law) purchased it from his father around 2012 and I purchased it from him the following year. No known (since 1973) accidents. The car has always been garaged, covered and protected!
Key mechanical features include:
400+ HP RHS-built 4-bolt 350 SBC / B&M 144 CID supercharger / 5 PSI boost. Not numbers matching.
MSD 6A ignition, Blaster coil, Recurved Pro-billet distributor, In-cabin MSD timing controller, In-cabin MSD boost timing controller, Boost-referenced Holley 750 CFM vacuum secondary 4 barrel carb, Ceramic headers, Big block radiator with dual electric fans on adjustable thermostat timer, 200-4R Extreme Automatics stage 2 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission, High-stall converter, Shiftworks shifter detention conversion, 3.73 axle ratio with Eaton severe duty positraction carrier, new OER leaf springs, new Bilstein shocks front and rear, Goodyear Eagle GT +4 tires with less than 500 miles front and rear, Cross-drilled front rotors, like-new interior, Car Craft NOAH cover.
Paint is in great condition, deep with wet-look clear coat. Black racing stripes are painted and cleared. There are a small number of “character flaws”, but the finish and paint is amazing, especiallyconsidering this is a 20+ year paint job. It could easily be mistaken for being only a year or two old! I have included photos to show the major flaws. By far the worst is the isolated rust areas in front of the passenger wheel. It is static, not active or growing. The rest of the car is 100% dry and rust free. I will gladly supply additional photos of any area(s) of the car to serious buyers.
Zero fluid leaks.
I truly hate selling this car. The only reason is physical space. I have another project and this car has the least amount of emotional attachment to me since the build is predominately someone else’s, not mine.

Transportation is the responsibility of the successful bidder. I can store it awaiting shipping for a reasonable amount of time.
This Camaro will not disappoint! I seriously would not hesitate or have any concerns over jumping in and driving anywhere, including cross country (road conditions allowing!). Bid with confidence. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
Good luck and thanks for looking!
