1955 Chevrolet Nomad Description

Hello and thanks for looking! Selling for a friend, ANY QUESTION PLEASE CALL 402-658-195FIVE. Ask for Chuck. This Nomad was a former drag car and has a clean South Dakota title. Restoration had just started on this vehicle and it was disassembled a few weeks ago. A decision was made not to pay a shop to install the floor, but to sell instead. Everything in the photos goes with the vehicle except for the red louvered hood. Another hood in primer and ready for paint goes with the vehicle.

During disassembly it was found that another used floor was "installed" and not rust free as believed. The person was great with roofing tar, bad at welding. Vehicle would make a great candidate for a road rally vehicle with custom frame and floor or could be restored with a full replacement floor that is now manufactured. Front areas of the quarter panels have patch panels. Full quarter panels and rockers would be best. Left quarter also has minor collision damage to the rear area.

Firewall was pounded in on the left side for an Oldsmobile engine. No engine or transmission included in auction. Frame around steering box has a metal plate welded on,assuming for strength. Rear spring perches have been flipped upside down to get the rear end up. Appears to have an Oldsmobile rear end. Dash was hacked up, another dash included in the sale. Some minor rust in the rear left side of the roof due to mice. Tail gate has some rust in the lower area. Would recommend replacement of the left door as it has an arch for some reason, right door appears to be okay. Rear tail pan has multiple dents. Front fenders appear to be rust free.

Parts known to be missing are the left door garnish molding, rear glass upper moldings and heater. Front outer filler panels and front bumper also gone. The glass was all broken or bubbled and thrown away. Rear bumper is a one piece bumper, but not for a wagon or Nomad.

Payment must be completed with 7 days of the auction close. Scammers get lost! Vehicle must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction. Also buyer responsible for shipping arrangements if not picked up by owner.

**** Seller is now including a used roof panel (no rust visible, has dents), restored / reconditioned & re-chromedlift gate and a good tail gate in primer along with the old lift gate and tail gate. I have more photos of the vehicle, if you would likethem please give me your email address.
