If you’re looking for a truly unique custom, look no further than this stunning 1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. Featured in Custom Rodder magazine, this Impala is a one-of-a-kind!

Finished in Chrome Yellow, this convertible’s finish has a mirror-like luster that is further enhanced by chrome and brightwork that is in excellent condition. Providing an eye-catching contrast is its Black Sta-fast convertible top, which shows like new. Other elements of distinction are this Impala’s shaved door handles, tinted windows, and Billet Specialties wheels.

The interior is equally distinctive, and features a custom interior with bucket seats and a full-length center console with storage compartments and front and rear cup holders. The seating areas are finished in Pearl colored vinyl with Yellow piping. Other features include a Grant tilt steering wheel and a Pioneer CD player with 12 speakers located throughout the interior of the car. LA Sound amplifiers, sub-woofers, and crossovers are neatly housed in a custom fitted panel in the trunk that was finished in the same materials as the interior. A full complement of AutoMeter gauges will keep you informed about what’s going on under the hood. You’ll also appreciate this car’s custom neon lighting accents which abound in the interior and engine and trunk compartments.

Unique to this convertible it is abundance of power features, all of which can be operated by interior switches or by electronic remote control. These features include the remote operated power convertible top, power windows, doors, glove box, front and rear center consoles, horn, running lights, neon lights, and trunk compartment. Wow admirers at the shows with all of these conveniences—all at the push of a button!

Under the hood you will find a 396 CID big block Chevy motor that has been bored to 402 CID. The engine was professionally rebuilt and features a balanced crankshaft, forged TRW pistons, and a Crane cam. Other performance enhancements include the following:

· Edelbrock intake manifold

· Ported and polished heads

· Holley 850 cfm carburetor

· Flowmaster dual exhaust

· Griffin aluminum radiator

· MSD billet ignition, blaster cell

· Front and rear disc brakes

Its TH400 automatic transmission has also been rebuilt and is mated to a 4.10 12-bolt Chevy rear-end. Color keyed powder coated finishes and custom chrome valve covers provide plenty of pop in the engine compartment.

Recent maintenance includes new battery and fresh fluid changes. This Impala has also benefited from indoor climate controlled storage.
