1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Description

So here's the deal: this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle packs a 500 horsepower stroker motor, a monster stereo, and a brilliant paint job that will definitely stand out among its peers. Do the math and even if you do all the labor yourself, you couldn't possibly build a car this cool for less money than we're asking for it. THAT'S value.
The fact that it's also great-looking probably plays into the equation, and if you haven't fallen in love yet, take a closer look. The copper paint is period-correct yet high-tech-looking and very contemporary; perhaps this particular shade was borrowed from a late-model. Whatever the source, it looks spectacular on the vintage Chevelle sheetmetal, erasing decades and making it look far more customized than it is. Underneath, the metalwork is quite good, featuring decent gaps all around and a deep shine that only comes from a lot of hard work. They let the factory look speak for itself, leaving only the bright new color to change its identity, so the original hood with its faux vents remains in place, augmented by blacked-out grille and tail panels that were part of the SS package, along with the badges that say '396' but we'll get to that in a minute. Quite honestly, how can you not love how this car looks?
A traditional black bucket seat interior needs no upgrading, although it does have a lot of new stuff inside. Reproduction seat covers are beautifully finished with more detail than you see in the low-buck stuff, with crisp, deep pleats and a higher grade of vinyl that matches the original equipment quite well. The door panels are equally nice and work well with the recent black carpets that give the interior a finished look. There is no console but it does have a pistol-grip shifter for the ratcheting mechanism linked to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The factory dash looks fairly stock until you turn the key, at which point a full array of blue Dakota Digital gauges spring to life, giving the vintage Chevelle a modern look. An AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in the dash offers more entertainment choices than the original AM radio and powers a set of large speakers throughout the interior, so it sounds awesome. The trunk itself is nicely detailed with a custom enclosure with color-matched speaker grilles and proper carpets to give it a finished look.
So those SS badges say '396' but the truth is, that's a 383 cubic inch small block living under the hood, rebuilt to take no prisoners and dressed with a slick high-tech look that suits this Chevelle just fine. A high-rise intake is topped by a Demon carb, there's a stout camshaft inside, and you already know that 383 stroker motors love to rev yet make torque like a big block. Fabricated aluminum valve covers, some billet hoses, and a custom accessory drive dress it up and give it a modern look, and it's nice to see power steering and 4-wheel disc brakes as part of the package. The aforementioned TH350 is backed by a 12-bolt rear and the exhaust system is stainless with an X-pipe. Clean floors, recent shocks, and classic Torque Thrusts with Mickey Thompson radials all make this a no-stories chassis that's ready to rock.
See? I told you that you'd be surprised by what a bargain this Chevelle represents. But don't hesitate, bargains like this don't last long around here. Call today!
