1966 Chevrolet Impala SS CONVERTIBLE Classic Antique Hot Rod 66 Chevy vert donk
1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible Super Sport Description
**NO RESERVE** You are bidding on a:1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible SS Super Sport with a rebuilt 350 small block off of a 1972 Impala. This is an amateur restoration job - rat rod. It’s meant to be driven, not locked away in a garage. Really fun car, a head-turner is an understatement. I am going to be as descriptive as possible without hiding anything, please read carefully and ask questions BEFORE bidding. Come see the car this Friday! It has a CLEAN TITLE ON-HAND! Priced to sell!
- Wheels: chrome spinners and BF Goodrich whitewalls (the spinners have some surface rust so they will need some cleaning up).
- It is an amateur restoration and it will need a paint job since it has some rust/bubbling in the usual areas for these cars. The paint has a clear coat, but faded in some areas. Looks great from far, but a good paint job will be needed.
- The frame and engine are strong. The transmission is probably due for a service, it shifts STRONG yet 2-3rd has a slight delay when it's cold. Shifts strong, a shift kit may solve that.
- Engine: It has a 350 5.7L small block from a 72' Impala that was rebuilt and installed about 8 years before I owned it (the dash was changed so mileage is unkown). It runs Great! Engine has NO LEAKS & NO ISSUES! Aluminum radiator
- I installed a 4 barrel Holley Carburetor 2 years ago with an Edelbrock intake manifold
- Shaved door handles!
- It has Hooker Headers
- Rear Air shocks
- Rear traction bars
- It has Power Steering! Brakes are good, a B&M Shifter (It's the cennter console model),
- Dash: radio works, the guages work but are not accurate,
- The convertible top works but it has no motor -- you open and close the top manually, it has a GLASS window in the back not plastic
- The interior is in pretty good shape, a few things missing here and there--it will need some panel adjustments in the back seat. Missing one of the handles for rear window, I use a vice grip to open and close. The windows and trunk seals will have to be redone.
- Shaved door handles that open with remote! Keyless entry!
- It has an alarm with motion sensor
- Pioneer detacheable face radio with CD Player
- Super Loud trumpet/truck horn!
- No Air Conditioning
- No windshield wipers, not sure if it has the motor for them either.
- Title states an: Original Super Sport Impala (console and two front seats edition)
- I've owned it for about 5 years now and had my fun with it, I don't have a garage to work on it though so it's time to let it go. ***I WILL BE SHOWING THE CAR THIS FRIDAY 3/9 - I cannot show it earlier because I am out of town. Please message me and we'll set up a time, I have a few people coming by.
- Mystery bonus: I don't have a key to the glove compartment, so I don't know what's in it! Might have something special?
I am posting as many photos as possible, will be posting more if need be. Please let me know if you want any more pics.**I will ship anywhere as long as it is PAID beforehand & picked up from my address. On Mar-06-18 at 07:43:18 PST, seller added the following information:The dash gauges work but they are not accurate.
