1962 Chevrolet C-10 "Knee Knocker" Description

You are bidding on a 1962 Chevy C-10 stepside pickup. This is the last year of the curved windshield. You can probably guess why it is nicknamed the "kneenocker". Just don't jump in too quickly! Clean California title in my name. Currently street legal and registered till November, 2018. Not a barn find, but it was rescued from a farm where it sat under a tarp for years. Gentleman lost his wife, so he was selling everything he owned. "Running when I parked it" he said. I seriously doubt that, but I brought it home anyway. Started with all mechanical needs. May not look it, but I have already invested a good chunk of money in what you can not see. Rebuilt the original inline 231ci 6 cylinder engine, top and bottom. Rebuilt clutch. Rebuilt radiator. Rebuilt transmission. I have documentation for all work done. It is at the point where it is a dependable driver, and I am not concerned about being stranded. Starts up every time. I get a lot of thumbs up wherever I drive it. I have taken a break only because I have my eyes on another restoration candidate. Don't think I can convince Mama to let me have 2 projects at the same time. Anyway, vehicle is located in Santa Ynez, Ca. It is available to show and drive if you are close. vehicle sold "AS IS".
MOTOR
Complete rebuild of original 231ci. inline 6 cylinder motor.
TRANSMISSION
Complete rebuild of original transmission.
CLUTCH
Complete disassembly and replacement of all worn clutch components.
BRAKES
Replacement of all shoes. Drums resurfaced. Master cylinder replaced.
BODY
Most body panels have been sanded down to bare metal and then sprayed with primer. Sanding of all panels is an ongoing process I work on every weekend. If not complete, it will probably be very close by the time it is sold. Frame is sound with no rust. I have documented with photos the few areas where there is actual rust perforation.Two small areas on driver side and passenger side floor board.
