I have a 1971 Corvette convertible for sale. It is ready for summer cruising with the top down! It has been treated to an extensive amount of work over the past 6 months. This car was a nice 100% rust free driver that had never been in an accident. The paint was tired so we decided to repaint it in the original color, Steel Cities Gray. This corvette now has a fresh show quality finish. The car had all the old paint stripped off so we could start with a blank canvas for a great paint job. We found no cracks in the body, so then we spent an excessive amount of hours priming and blocking the car so as to have a very smooth and straight body for paint. The Steel Cities Gray paint job is all PPG materials with 4 coats of clear that were then sanded flat and polished to a perfect gloss. This color is incredible in the sun, everyone that has seen the color loves it. This is an A/C car with a white top and black leather interior from the factory. The top is in good condition, and the interior is all original with the exception of the new carpet we installed. The door inserts are painted Steel Cities Gray to match exterior of car, a nice custom touch. When we got this corvette, there was a dealer installed luggage rack on the rear deck. We decided to fill the holes for a nice clean look, the original rack and all its fasteners go with the car in case you want to reinstall it. All the chrome and stainless on the car are original and in nice condition. The car has 68K original miles on it and the engine and transmission are not the matching number originals. It now has a healthy 350 mated to a turbo 400 transmission, it runs good and has plenty of power. I was told by the previous owner the engine and trans were installed at around 55K miles. When was the last time you saw a Steel Cities Gray 1971 Corvette convertible? It definitely stands out from the crowd!
