Thanks to James Carusone from Bridgeport Connecticut, who won my Corvette and then never paid because he is a deadbeat, now has me reposting the car. And the second in line on bidding was some shmuck from Denmark named Thomas who had no intention. This isn't a game, if you don't have the CASH, look elsewhere because these are binding legal contracts.
For sale a 1978 Corvette L48 that was purchased from the original owner. The car was owned originally by this young lady who then sold it to her dad. This is when I became involved. When I bought the car the motor was on a stand and his son told to me that it was rebuilt and never reinstalled. There is no paperwork, because the previous owner knew the shop owner and this was done as a favor. I went through the ports and believed the story to be true, as all looks new in chambers of intake and cylinders.So I purchased the car, installed the new trans seal, torque converter, power brake booster and master cylinder, and and then mounted the motor. This as far as I went before I blew not only the motor in one Acura MDX, but then the transmission went in the second one my wife owned (both are on craigslist if you want to confirm the story). I had no intention to sell it, as I have had dozens of these C3's, but this frame and body are perfect. The only body flaw is at the corner tip of the hood where it cracked and was bonde and the passenger side mirror.The good...The car comes with everything as far as I cataloged.New front brake linesNew fuel pump in box with new lines and hosesNew sway bar linkage and steering cylinder (sway bar powder coated)New distributor parts, including plugs, wires and capNew radiator hoses
What it needs...Have to reinstall dash because it was removed to replace the brake booster.Have new glove box parts, new shifter boot, and new headlight switch.Have original radio and all parts necessary to put together.I will be assembling the dash in the next week if no bidders come forward.Carburetor needs to be rebuilt but all there.Have the radiator and shrouds and several bags of new bolts and parts from Ecklers and Paragon to reinstall.Exhaust is with car but needs to be reinstalled from exhaust manifolds to the mounted Y pipe.Tires are dry but hold air.
Again, if I find a way to break a bank bond or fix the transmission on my Acura, this auction will be pulled. The interior is also in fantastic shape minus the front rug in 2 spots near floor mats (new floor mats)Sale is for United States ONLY
