1969 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport Z28 Description

1969 RS Z/28 Camaro

Up for auction is this amazingly built 1969 RS Z28 Camaro. My friend bought this car in 2003 and over a 3 year period did a complete nut and bolt no expense spared, rotisserie restoration. This car is made to look as close as possible to stock with many performance modifications such as a 355 CI engine 425 HP at 7,000 RPM, Liberty Transmission built Tremec TKO 600 5 speed transmission with carbon fiber backing rings, roll control, scatter shield and a Moser rear end with 3:73 gears. Stainless mandrel bent exhaust, had all new springs and cushions in the bucket seats, Pioneer cd/receiver with a 300 Alpine amp in the trunk and many other items to make this an as a new car when completed. He's 6'1 so he put in 2' seat extenders for the drivers and passenger bucket seats which really makes this car a pleasure to drive if you have long legs. No parts went back on the car unless they were new or rebuilt. He finished the 3 year restoration in 2006 and have logged 14,000 miles in the past 12 years. He has made a few modifications and improvements in that time to make this a reliable high performance muscle car that looks stunning. He rarely take the car out without someone complimenting him on it. This car is as happy cruising around the city at 1,500 rpm as it is on the highway at 80 mph. After the car was appraised in 2006 as a 95 point car he was invited to the Steamwork's Concours d Elegance show in Vancouver just to attest as to how well the car was restored. The car was awarded 2nd place which is very hard to do at this high end car show. My friend drives the car for a few months each summer so it has slight wear. Also the paint job is incredible, the stripes are buried in the clear and the car is laser straight as in the pictures.
