1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Description

FOR SALE: 1964 Corvette Convertible, Very RARE Factory BLACK with RED Interior! 327 V8, 4spd, Factory AM-FM Radio, This is a Nice true "NO Hit" "Rust Free" Corvette with ALL its original fiberglass panels! It has had one very minor repair on the upper rear area of the left rear quarter panel, (something must have dropped on it in the garage) it is about the size of a chicken egg. It is NOT visible from the outside and hard to see from the inside as the muffler blocks the view. A true Rust free frame and birdcage, new radial white wall tires with nice stock hubcaps. Clock still works and radio works and sounds good. This corvette was sold new @ Smith Chevrolet in Idaho Falls, Idaho and was produced (Birth Date) July 10th 1964 (per: NCRS "Shipping Data Report"). At some point it moved to New Mexico and spent most of it life in the super dry climate of New Mexico. Originally this Corvette was born with a 1964 327-300hp engine, it NOW has a 1967 327-275hp engine that "looks correct" (except dressed up with Factory Aluminum Corvette Valve Covers, instead of the stamp steel ones.), has its original matching number 4 bbl. Carb (rebuilt) with its original duel snorkel Air Cleaner assembly. ODO mileage shows 30,505 Is it original miles? Maybe, nice car, it could be. I do not know for sure, to be on the safe side we will have to assume it is 130,505. It has its "matching number" 4spd trans and #'s matching Posi Rear End. Has Back up light option. This Corvette is a "very rare" factory BLACK Corvette (#900) (repainted at some point in its original coded black color, has always been black, no other colors detected). Has very nice RED vinyl interior. It is a very original (except motor 1967) unmolested unhit Corvette Convertible. Paint is very Shinny "Driver Quality" and looks very nice from a couple feet away (has some heat checking patina from the New Mexico Sun), but overall looks good, car get lots of thumbs up! Interior is bright red and looks very nice. Has a black convertible top in good condition with a nice clear back window. Are you looking of a nice driving good looking old corvette? This is it! Is it perfect? NO! Please remember it is a very nice mostly original 54 year old Corvette. You should be able to "drive and enjoy" this corvette as is for many years to come and or, take it to the next level and restore it to be "totally perfect". This is a nice old 1964 Corvette, very good car, great bones! MOST OLD Corvettes in this price range have a cheap one piece Fiberglass front ends, are Rusty (I always laugh when a lot of these corvettes from back east say rust free but every metal part pictured is RED with "surface rust"). A lot have been spun/wrecked and put together in Chucks. NOT THIS CAR, it is Super RARE having ALL its ORIGINAL body panels and truly Rust Free~! With all this being said it is a "54 year old car" and is SOLD AS-IS.
