1994 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Description

I've had this vehicle as my daily driver for 12 years and it has always started on the very first try every time! It was a one-owner vehicle that I purchased from a lawyer in Houston who had it garage kept the whole time he owned it. It was in pristine condition when I got it, and the interior cloth seats are still in good shape. It is registered until 09-18! I think the battery is also still under warranty. It uses very little oil with no leaks in the motor or transmission! It drives smooth and is very dependable transportation...
There are only two major things wrong with it. One of those things is just body cosmetics and the other thing is a mechanical repair that needs to be done, which is what makes this a good mechanics special! I'll explain these things next after I tell you about all the features. So, make sure to keep reading to find out all the details.
Here are all of her features:
Mechanical-
Engine: V8, 5.7 Liter, (Chevy 350 smallblock)
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: 2WD
Braking and Traction: ABS (4-Wheel)
Steering: Power Steering, Tilt Wheel
Interior-
Entertainment: AM/FM Stereo (tuner needs adjustment/fixing), Cassette (all original stock radio and stock cassette tape deck)
Comfort and Convenience: Air Conditioning (needs compressor), Rear Air Conditioning (rear AC has been bypass disabled) (Heater core has also been bypass disabled), Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Remote Locks, Cruise Control
Seats: Power Seat, Third Row Seat
Exterior-
Cargo and Towing: Roof Rack, Towing Package
Wheels and Tires: Alloy Wheels, (also comes with original stock spare tire rim)
Roof and Glass: Privacy Glass
Security: Alarm System with Keyless Remote Locks (comes with spare battery for the clicker)

Now, here are the two major things that are wrong and why:
1) Cosmetics-
My mom got rear-ended when she was driving it, so there is some body damage that you can see in the pics to the back and the rear quarter panel on the driver side. This doesn't affect how well the car runs and drives. All the glass is still intact and all the power windows still roll up and down.
2) Mechanical repair-
The temperature sensor on the motor went out and it over-heated on me recently because the coolant got too low and I didn't know it because the temperature sensor was out. I replaced the sensor, filled up the coolant, then drove it two more times and parked it. The next day I went to crank it, and it turned over, but it wouldn't start. I'm pretty sure all it probably needs is just a head gasket to be up and running again because it keeps turning over just fine as long as the battery is charged up good.

UPDATE: I started it today (6-29) to make sure it still turns over and it cranked right up. I ran it for about five minutes to circulate the oil real good and then shut it down so it would not overheat. I checked the coolant, and it was bone dry. So, this car is still going to need the head gasket repair to be done, but it can be driven onto a trailer, or for short distances. I would not drive it very far unless you plan to put some really good stop leak in it first.

Whoever does buy this car will have the option to do the head gasket repair on my property and drive the car away or you will be able to haul it away on a trailer and do whatever you want to do with it.
This would be a relatively easy fix and a good dependable car for someone who knows how to do it, and wants to spend the time to do it. I don't have all the tools I need (or the time), and I've had her long enough. So, it's time to let someone else take the torch.
BONUS!!!
This sale comes with a full tank of 40 gallons of free gas because I filled it up right before I parked it that last time.
I don't really care if I sell it or not, because I can always just let it sit until I have the time to get the head gasket set for probably less than a hundred bucks and buy/borrow/rent the tools I need to fix it myself, and it will still be way cheaper than the hundreds, or maybe even over a thousand dollars a mechanic would charge me to fix it and I will have a running work truck again that won't win any beauty contests, but it will get me where I need to go, pull trailers, and get the groceries home reliably.
Thank you for your interest in this car, and I hope you get it to put it back on the road again, or use it for all the really good parts it has!
