1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 convertible Description

I purchased this car in 1981 drove it as it was for years. then it was taken off the frame and work was started only to get delayed for years. after so long the work began once more. it was finished around 2011. I wanted this convertible to be like one I had in 1962 so I located a 57 283 4v engine and had it rebuilt by a local engine shop. it was changed from an automatic to a 3 speed overdrive which laterdeveloped a bad center bearing so i replaced it with a 3 speed until I could get the bearing replaced. The od trans. will go with the car. also a 4:11 posi rear end for it. all od items are on the car except the trans.this is Matador red,not original to the paint code plate. red silver original interior, white top with red boot cover. it does not have the original brake master cylinder but i do have one for it.comes with the spinner wheel covers and i have a set of fender skirts for it. The steering sector has just been rebuilt and installed. the paint is good but the body work should have been block sanded more but it is an ok driver quality car and is a real 57 convertible body not one made from other styles. most of these cars have been modified from the original cars theywere.I really hate to part with it but oldman time is catching up with me so i amwilling to sellit.
