1971 Chevrolet El Camino Description

Please Read Carefully !!! Going to SELL to the high bidder !!!
1971 El Camino
I bought this car with the intentions of restoring it, I have another projects so I am letting this one go to fund my other projects.
Motor
It ia a 358 small block ( 350 .40 over ) 9.5 to 1 pistons, it has the Edelbrock RPM package, including Aluminum heads, Air Gap intake, 800 cfm Edelbrock carb and cam, roller rockers, MSD ignition and wires, 6A box with the rev limiter. Hooker comp headers with a 2 1/2 inch exhaust, aluminum radiator with an electric 180 degree fan.motor built to Edelbrock specs, runs great and runs cool.. New starter, it needs shimmed it drags sometime just a little when you start it.
Transmission
Rebuilt turbo 350, 2800 stall with a shift kit
Rear end
Factory 12 bolt, non posi rear end, the former owner never changed it to a posi, gets tons of wheel spin currently, this needs changed to a posi get the full potential of the drive train.
Interior
original interior, very good shape for original, carpet has a few stains, no tears in the seat, dash pad is good, door panels are good. Nice headliner, new Grant steering wheel, tilt wheel has aftermarketgauges and tach, CD player.
Body
The body has surface rust ( patina ) the only though rust is at the bottom of the passenger fender and behind the rear tire on the passenger side ( see pictures ) both holes are minor rust and the only holes in the body. The driver front fender has some dents and dings I would replace it ( see picture ) There is a slight dent behind the driver door this is an easy fix ( see picture ) Inside the doors are nice with no rust, newer cowl hood. the former owner removed the trim on the body I do not have any of it. Vinyl top is decent, no rust under it and no rips or tears, all the trim is good, rear bumper chrome is pealing will need rechromed or replaced, front bumper is decent. Bed is in good shape, tailgate works good no rust holes does have surface rust. LOOK at the pictures !
Underside
Floors, Frame are in great shape, there is no though rust on the underside of the car, it was from New Mexico until 09, the former owner purchased it then, he was from Ohio.
Overall
This is a strong running El Camino that has a ton of potential, body doesn't need a complete restoration, very little rust. Interior is decent, good wheels and tires, sounds great newer exhaust, disc brake car, drives great. you can drive it while you restore or just leave like it is and have fun. All the lights, gauges, wipers work correctly, ready to cruise.
I may have missed a ding or scratch, this is a 47 year old car and it is a project, I do my best to be honest, take the time to look at the pictures, I do consider this a project car it is not a show car.
