1939 Chevrolet Chevy master deluxe Description
I have been building cars for over 40 years, i Built a business called Mods for Rods in Fountains Hills AZ from scratch and ran it for 18 years. I sold the business and retired in 2016. I built a 6000 sq. ft. shop at my house and continued to build MY cars. Im now retiring for good and moving to Hawaii. So I'm selling ALL my cars and my collection. This first one ive been building part time for about 11 years off and on. I started with a very clean rust free AZ car. the chassis is nothing over the top, this was just going to be my wife cruiser. Mustang 2 front end with springs and shocks, ride tech has a coil over to replace those to give the car a better stance. the frame was sand blasted and powder coated with fully rebuilt rear end with 308 gears. the gas tank is installed (poly) and fuel and brake lines run. I chopped top to 3.5 inches and hand rolled top. the rear trunk lid was hinged to open horizontally. the wing windows were reshaped and reinstalled. all the window garnishes are cut down and fit very well. the dash was modified to cary a 7.5 inch double din stereo. under the dash is a 90 degree power brake system, also a split vintage air evaporator. the center console is all steel and the under dash panels to hide all components are done. There are specially made kick panels to except a pair of 5 1/4 speakers. I wanted to be able to pick up friends without having to get out of the pass. seat. so i designed and built a third door on the pass. side. I used late 50's GM door hinges because they open out ward and back and are very strong and fully adjustable. There is still a little work to do to complete but i would say 3-4 hrs. The fenders are Wescotts fiberglass, i believe i have a pair of front steel but fit like crap. i had Wescott build my fenders and had them do 3 layers of 1.50 oz. mat. i have tons more pic's if needed, and I'm sure i left out plenty..
