1964 Chevrolet Other Pickups C-30 Dually Flat Bed Description

This is my neighbor's truck, he has spent over a year restoring it but now that the project is complete he is ready to move on to another project! Just can't stop moving, so I'm helping him move this truck which is fairly awesome. Below are the details.
1964 Chevrolet C-30 factory flat bed dually farm truck w/factory radio delete option. This was a farm truck its entire life and was optioned as such. Don bought it from the original owner after they quit using it and it had been sitting for years. He didn't really have any specific use for it but he is a fan of Chevrolets and this truck didn't deserve to die. It deserved to be resurrected and put back on the road doing truck stuff and truck things. I learned about factory wooden beds from this truck, being raised on 80's & 90's japanese vehicles it was crazy to think making car parts out of wood was once a thing, but apparently it was and it works damn good. I also had a chance to get into a few arguments about Bias ply tires which this has (new of course).
  • 292 High Torque Inline 6 engine (which is the bigger displacement version of the super reliable Chevrolet Inline 6 that Toyota stole their entire landcruiser Inline 6 engine design from which is legendary in reliability)
  • Muncie SM420 Granny low 4-speed manual transmission (bombproof)
  • Eaton H072 drop out third member rear axle huge ring gear full floating rear axle (bombproof)
  • Frame off restoration, frame cleaned and painted
  • All rusted sheet metal cut out and new sheet metal welded in properly
  • New brake hoses and steel lines
  • New body mounts
  • New clutch
  • Electronic ignition swap
  • New belts, hoses, heater core etc...
  • New fuel pump and lines
  • Engine maintenance done obviously along with Carb rebuild, never been internally rebuilt because you don't need to!
  • Entire new custom steel & wood flatbed designed after the original factory unit
  • New wiring, ignition switch, battery, alternator, regulator, lights, light switch etc...
  • New rubber door seals
  • New window cranks and door handles inside and outside
  • New seat covers with insulation under the new carpet and door panels
  • New bias ply truck tires
  • New windshield and back glass along with the paint job which is a good 10 footer with several coats of clear for long lasting buffability.

Clean title in Don's name, put the logo of your local brewery on this beast and park it out front or drive it to work every day, it runs great, drives great, but is obviously a classic truck. Mileage is original and has not rolled over truck was a local on the farm only truck. NADA and Hemmings have the value at $18,000 in only basic driver quality which this is better than. Has some minor imperfections in the paint but it looks great and is fun to drive, zero rust of course. That is about it I'm sure there was a ton more work done that he hasn't told me about, come check it out and drive it!
