1994 Camaro Z28 6 Speed 2 owner car. First owner had it 21 years. 112,500 miles (approx). DMV says not actual mileage. Looking at the Carfax report it appears the instrument cluster was replaced around 65,000 miles and it appears one with similar mileage was used as the mileage at emissions testing appears fairly consistent. I would guess the mileage showing is accurate to within around 5,000 +/-. The Carfax report also shows one very minor accident reported. You can see the scrapes on the top of the front bumper cover and see where the plastic fender was deformed, so it appears no parts were replaced or repaired. The passenger side fog/driving light was broken in the accident and remains as it was. I will send interested buyers a copy of the Carfax report and save you the cost. Glass T-Tops. Metallic purple factory color, ARE Wheels. I am the second owner and have owned this car for around a year and have replaced the following: power window motor – driver side, battery approx 18 months old, new air filter, new Summit Racing distributor, new GM water pump, new serpentine belt. The car had a repaint a couple of years ago – factory color, not the best re-spray, but not too bad. The interior was redone at the same time. With the 6-speed transmission, the car is a lot of fun to drive and should have many miles left in it. The following is a list of things the car needs: the dash pad is cracked and needs to be repaired/replaced or covered. This is a common problem with these cars. Aftermarket and stock pads are available as well as covers for the cracked dash. The hinge on the console lid is broken – also a common problem on these cars. The oil pressure gauge does not work, but the car has good oil pressure. The needle on the gauge looks like it has come loose – it may be repairable. Replacement gauge clusters are available on eBay. The radio seems to work fine, but I think the stock speakers need to be replaced. The original owner had an amp and extra speakers in the car at some time. The ABS light comes on intermittently, which I believe is a bad wheel sensor. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The car still drives fine. The low coolant sensor has the warning light on all the time, but I haven’t bothered to fix it because the coolant level is good. This is also a common problem in these cars and the Firebirds. The T-tops leak a little in heavy rain or when you turn a water hose on them with the nozzle pointed the right direction, mostly right around where the door glass seals against the T-tops. The leak is small and I haven’t felt it was bad enough to replace the seals or adjust the glass inward at the top. I have owned several cars with T-tops from Corvettes, to Camaros to Trans Ams and the T-tops always leak in this area when the cars get older – sometimes when they are new. The air conditioning compressor needs to be rebuilt or replaced as the seals are leaking. I recharged the compressor when I got the car and the air was cold for a couple of days and then went warm again, so the seals are leaking down. The power windows work and the T-tops come out so I just enjoy the open air feel and don’t worry about the AC. I average around 15 miles per gallon driving the car to work and running errands. I would like to keep it, but I don’t have the time to fix the remaining items and need to move it on to someone who does. I have driven the car less than 2,000 miles since I have had it, so it needs someone who has the time to drive and work on it. This is not a show car, but a good driver. It has the same typical problems of any 22 year old vehicle. The car sounds and runs great. You see a lot of these cars advertised in the $4500 - $5500 range. For someone mechanically inclined, this car is priced to sell and would be a fun toy.
