1986 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Truck
1986 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Description
1986 Chevrolet C-10 truck, Silverado, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning (inoperative), V-8 (probably 305), mag wheels, tilt, cruise, dual tanks, chrome outside mirrors, running boards, AM/FM radio, full gauge package.
Personal observations:
1. Air conditioning system doesn’t work. I’ve made no attempts to get it repaired. Might be low on Freon and might need compressor. Don’t know assume the worst.2. One mag is missing center cap.3. Tires appear to have good tread. Tread wear seems to be even on all tires. I don’t know age of tires.4. Engine starts and vehicle drives straight down the road. Vehicle runs very smooth.5. I installed a brand new battery about 2 weeks ago from Wal-Mart6. Body side mldg. has come of the drivers door. It doesn’t appear to be damaged. It needs re-glued or or attached with double sided tape.7. Spare needed aired up. I removed from rack but didn’t put it back. Spare tire holder is complete.8. Clear lien free title. Vehicle has current registration.9. I have not washed the truck or attempted to clean it in any way.10. Seat is in great condition, appears to have been reupholstered at some point.11. Cruise doesn’t seem to be working.12. Doors close tight and feel good. Not a bunch of slack from worn out hinges.13. Tailgate has a cut in it as if someone was cutting a board with a circular saw.14. Headliner and visors in great condition.15. Top of dash is cracked up.16. Speedometer shows 32,855 miles. I’m sure it has exceeded its mechanical limits.17. Chrome rear step bumper.18. Bed is very clean for age.19. Frt. grille is cracked.20. Dual tanks.21. Glass all looks good.
Overall this is a very nice truck for age. Any questions, please ask.
I got a creeper out and rolled underneath the truck. I didn’t see anything other than just normal light rust on parts of frame and shock support. It all looks normal for a truck that is 32 plus years old from a non rust belt state. I see no real rusting issues in or around cab mounts, rocker panels, cab corners and bed around wheel openings. I also see no outwardly visible repaired body damage and or body filler. I’m not saying that it is anything other than an old (32+ years old) truck in good condition for its age. It definitely is not a museum piece. It is however a very good and pretty much original daily driver with potential for more. It is not a rust bucket! If you would like to see any specific pics of any up close parts, just ask and I’ll provide.
