1983 Chevy Malibu Wagon
I'm the second owner; bought it in 1997.
In 2001 I put in a new GM crate motor 350.
The 'Fast Burn Heads' 350 was rated at 385 hp.
I had the 'Hot Cam' from the LT4 added which boosted the hp to approx 430 hp.
At the time GM issued a limited run (430 units) of a special edition 350 rated at 430 hp which they called a ZZ430.
This was basically a Fast Burn 350 with the LT4 cam.
Holley 750 dp
GM HEI ignition
Headers with dual exhaust with exits behind rear wheels
TH350 trans with a 2800 stall speed
15" BFG rubber all round with chrome rallys
Under hood gauges and a tach inside
Grant steering wheel
Eibach springs and Edelbrock shocks which lowered the Wagon at all 4 corners.
Custom made fibreglass hood
Bumpers were rechromed and the car had body and paint done 17 yrs ago.
I've driven the car approx 2000 kms since I had it finished and parked it about 7 yrs ago due to family and other projects I had along the way.
The car needs some body work as rust is starting to appear in some areas.
The driver's side floor ahead of front seat of needs to be replaced.
The rocker panel on the passenger side needs repair as well as the bottom of the driver's side door. Some areas are showing signs of future rust.
I won't be able to work on the car and want to see it go to someone who can.
The engine and tranny are strong. The weak link with these G-Body cars is the rear end so a stout axle/differential with a 3.73 or quicker axle would really wake up the engine and get it to its intended power band.
With approx 2000 kms, the engine is barely broken in.
Buyer will have to arrange for pickup/delivery. US and Canada only.
