1975 Chevrolet Blazer Safari Edition Description

This is the crème-de-le crème of Chevy Blazers. It is the most rare, full-convertible (1970-1975) Chevy Blazer on the market. It is a true, unmolested survivor with all original parts (besides spark plugs, battery, wheels: basically the common sense items). The Safari Edition Blazer edition was a small niche market that was targeted for the surfer demographic and only produced in 1975. I will include the brochure that came with the Safari Blazer (which also verifies this isn’t some made up scam). I bought this Blazer in California over 7 years ago. I overspent my budget that year because I had never seen a 75’ Blazer this nice. Over the last ten years I have researched very ultra-rare vehicles (I am not a dealer, it is just my beloved hobby). In the last seven, I have found few 73-75 Blazers (I attribute it to the bad metal in those years) and NO other Safari Editions.

This Blazer is rust free (never had any rust or body work), the engine fires up on the first turn, no blue smoke, drives straight (no pull), all the gauges work, no electrical issues, all lights work, windshield wipers work, all windows roll up and down smooth, the fiberglass top is in immaculate condition, all of the interior is in amazing condition. The paint is ORIGINAL (I was told that the very bottom panels may have been repainted, but you can’t tell…full disclosure) and is a 9 out of 10, it has the original running panels (rare), working A-track player/AM/FM radio, CB radio, no cracks in the dash, no cracks in the windshield, AC blows cold, 4X4 engages, all the factory lines/chrome are straight, the doors hang correctly, it shifts seamlessly, has a clean/clear title in my name and needs absolutely no updates.

The Blazer has been stored in a climate controlled garage every day since I owned it. It has never seen a drop of rain or gravel. I only detail it twice a year with DRI Wash. I can’t fully articulate how immaculate this vehicle is and how much I baby it. I am really torn on selling this vehicle and you will not see it on eBay again. If it doesn’t sell it will be my son’s graduation present (to pay for his college…I.E. he is 4 years old). I really don’t need the money (honestly), the biggest reason I am selling it is I believe that it should be in a museum (cue the Indiana Jones quote). I drive it less than 25 miles a year to keep the fluids moving (it stays dormant in the winter) during the summer, but it is hard to enjoy something when you are constantly afraid someone will run into you, kick up a rock, it will unexpectedly rain, etc. Please take the time to review the high definition pictures and see its beauty for yourself.

The Blazer is sold as is and I highly suggest you either fly in to see it in person (it is that nice) or have a professional auto body shop, of your choice, inspect it. I guarantee you will get the same response. WOW. If you are flying in to see it, please schedule a time with me so I have an opportunity to plan.

Now for the part that sounds condescending, but it really isn’t. Please do not try to low ball my price. I already have a standing cash offer for $35K, which I have declined. Please do not tell me you will send me a bank check for this vehicle, I will not accept anything besides a wire transfer, PayPal payment or cash in person.

I encourage you to do your market research and see what other Blazers are being sold for. The majority of Blazers are not original. I personally won’t buy a vehicle if it doesn’t have the original numbers matching engine, the original interior, the original radio, etc. It makes me cringe when people alter the originals, but it is their money. This may be the only Chevy Safari Edition in existence. I have never seen another besides on a brochure. Anyone versed in the market knows that limit editions equate to amazing returns. When is the last time you had an opportunity to buy a one of a kind (okay, maybe one of a very, very few) vehicle? I have thought about taking it to Barrett Jackson and seeing what the deep pockets would bring. Here is your opportunity. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional pictures. I would be happy to oblige. My number is 515-661-7277 ask for Mike. Seeing a grown man cry (once the vehicle is sold) is for free!
