1966 Chevrolet El Camino
Three-owner car:
Purchased by current owner (California) August 2017
Previous owner (Texas) bought it from the original owner (California) in 2012
Has been modified with a 454ci V8 big block from a 1975 truck, a 3-speed automatic turbo 400 transmission, and a 3.73 12-bolt Chevrolet differential.
It has an HEI ignition, an Edelbrock 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, aftermarket steering wheel, and polished wheels. The wiring has been completely updated with a new harness and alternator.
Originally light beige, the truck was repainted some time ago and the metallic blue finish is in reasonable condition with some road rash and blemishes. Chrome brightwork is complete and the underbody is free of rust.
The cabin was reupholstered in gray cloth, and new carpets have been installed in the past few months. Interior modifications include an aftermarket steering wheel and shifter, the addition of a three-gauge pod in the center of the dash, and the removal of A/C and heater equipment. The horizontal 120 mph speedometer is retained and actual mileage is unknown (it currently shows 2700 miles).
It is being offered for sale with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
