This car is a true time capsule. This car is an early production car that was manufactured in November 1975. It is extremely rare to find a car of this age that has not had multiples of owners, been defaced with modifications, driven hard, stored improperly, and having been poorly maintained…and this car is NONE of those things. It is, in fact, the exact opposite, and is a wonderful example of a highly pampered, meticulously maintained and extremely well cared for vehicle.

I am only the 3rd owner of this car. The original owner passed away sometime after 2010, and the car was passed to his son (2nd owner). I purchased the car from the 2nd owner in 2017. The original owner’s son cared for the car as lovingly as did his father. Although the car was not driven much, it always had a supply of fresh fuel, and was run and driven weekly to ensure it was kept in top condition. This car has never sat dormant. Included with the sale of the car will be the maintenance record sheet kept by the original owner and his son, indicating all service performed and the associated mileage.
Below I will highlight some features of the car. This car does not actually need me to sell it…it can and will sell itself based on its own merits. I will do the best I can through brief descriptions and pictures to bring the car before you, so that you too can see for yourself how beautiful and rare this car actually is.

1976 CHEVROLET CORVETTE MODEL YEAR FACTS: NOTEABLE CHANGES

BODY
Body/Paint:
Accident free body. I believe the paint to be mostly factory original with some minor touch-up’s. The front and rear bumper covers had dry rotted from spending 43 years in an arid climate and were replaced with fiberglass units. Note: The replacement bumper covers are actual fiberglass bumper covers and NOT flexi-fit pieces. Much time, care and work was put into ensuring the new bumper covers fit as GM had envisioned – which is MUCH better than the fit of the original urethane rubber covers! The paint for the bumper covers was professionally blended by a renowned paint expert to ensure a perfect color match to the car. No paint was applied to the car to ensure a match – the original paint was preserved through this process!!!
The doors close smoothly and still retain the sound that all new cars to this day have…they close lightly to the touch with a quiet “schooomp” sound.
The original weatherstripping is in beautiful condition and all weatherstrips seal the car as they did when new. To verify the integrity of the seals, I conducted a pressurized hose water test (with the front kick panels and interior windshield upper and side pillar trim removed) to check for any signs of leaks including the problematic leaks around the windshield. The results were that the car has NO LEAKS and the car seals tightly against inclement weather!
A bolt-on Curt trailer hitch was added to enable towing a small trailer for luggage or using a hitch ready luggage carrier. This completely opens up the interior for a much less cramped trip!
The car presents and shows itself extremely well, as the pictures below will demonstrate.
INTERIOR
The interior is equally as beautiful and presents itself spectacularly. The upper dash pad is still very soft, flexible, and pliable. There are NO cracks or splits in the dash pad speaker perforations. A testament to the car always having been stored indoors. The steering wheel retains all of its original grain pattern, showing no sign of wear. The serrated locking ring for the column’s telescopic action looks new as well – most others have long ago lost their paint.
One more sign the car has remained indoors is the condition of the A/C and heater control. The newly designed red white and blue temperature color bar will ALWAYS lose the red to sun-fade on a car that has spent much time in the sun. The colors on this one are as bright as they were day one. It’s small details like this that REALLY tell the story. This special color bar lens is NOT reproduced.
The original radio was replaced with a JVC AM/FM/CD player. New speakers were installed in both the dash and kick panels. Notice that the kick panel grills were color coded to match the interior perfectly – They almost look as if they could have come that way from the factory!! The original kick panels were removed (and saved) and the speakers were installed in donor panels. ABSOLUTELY NO WIRES WERE CUT OR SPLICED during the install. All of car’s the factory wiring was preserved!!! The stereo sounds wonderful, even at highway speeds with the windows down!!
Air Conditioning: To illustrate how well the A/C actually works, I have included a time and date stamped screenshot of the current outside temperature condition on 05/22 as well as a time and date stamped picture of the actual temperature of the air at the center vent with the A/C on MAX setting. When I say the air blows cold, I mean COLD!!! Please see photos below.
Dash Lighting: I snapped a couple of shots of the dash lights in the dark to show how brightly and evenly the gauges illuminate. Gauges that look this nice in the dark in cars of this age is very rare. The gauges are illuminated using the original bulbs – there was NO upgrade to LED lighting or changes made whatsoever.

All 4 brake calipers AND the original master cylinder are stainless steel sleeved units. The original units were removed in 1993 by the previous owner and sent out to be professionally sleeved at Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation. This was done so that the original parts could be kept with the car, and the problem of leaking calipers due to corroded piston cylinder walls could be avoided. I have receipts in excess of $800.00 for the work performed.
