1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Description

True 1965 Chevy Malibu Super Sport! NO RESERVE!

I'm selling my 1965 Chevelle because I moved to NYC and unfortunately have no place to park or enjoy the car. The Malibu is a true SS coupe with the original 327 EE matching engine block and rear end. The original, numbers-matching powerglide transmission is included with the car, but the car is currently running a 3-speed. The motor was refreshed professionally and now includes a holley carb and the L79 camshaft for a small bump in power, with Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust. The car has the original AC, which will need to be refilled or converted to the new stuff. Other than the AC recharge, it does need a new heater core. Currently the heater hoses to the interior are blocked off to prevent any leaks inside. Car has manual drum brakes and power steering. I believe its total mileage on the body is about 65,000

It starts up the first time after 3 pumps of the gas and never hesitates, and drives great.

The original color is Mist Blue, but is currently painted in Danube Blue with a subtle metal flake. The paint is not perfect, but is a very very good 10 footer. Few minor paint imperfections here and there, nothing serious and no bondo anywhere on the car at all. The trunk is rust-free, but the coating has discolored a bit, though it still protects fine. The glass is clear and seals up nicely, car doesn't leak at all. Currently has Boss 338 wheels and BF Goodrich Sport Comp-2 tires with less than 500 miles on them. Included are the original SS hubcaps, in 6-7 / 10 condition. Could be cleaned up if you want to go back to the stock look.

Besides AC, the car has factory sun visors, front seat belts, and the AM radio, which has been converted to digital with an ipod hookup. It looks stock on the outside. This conversion isn't the best, to be honest, it doesn't get very loud. So I'm including a small amplifier and ipod hookup that can be installed in addition for better music while keeping the stock radio.

I do not have the original protect-o-plate but I have all registration paperwork from the original dealership to the purchaser, then to his son, then to the next owner, then to me. The body tag, VIN, paperwork, and stamps all match up. The photos include pictures of the body tag, VIN, and engine stamp for you to verify.

For the sake of transparency: There is a lien on the vehicle. Since the title can't be signed over right away, the bill of sale will clearly state that you have paid for it and have taken possession of the car, and the title will be signed over once received from the bank. I've bought and sold a few vehicles this way and it hasn't been a problem and doesn't delay you taking and enjoying the car. The registration and insurance are kept valid until the title is passed to the buyer. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping, but we will be available to help with loading the car up and getting you on your way. $500 deposit is due via paypal, then we can discuss how to go about exchanging the payment and paperwork.

If you have any questions, concerns about this or the car, don't hesitate to ask!
