OK, I have decided to sell my IROC Z28 at NO RESERVE. I am going to sell my house and want to sell my IROC first. I am starting the bidding at way less than the actual value of this IROC Camaro Z28 and far less than what I paid for it. Someone will get a great deal on a great classic. Check out the Hagerty Valuation Tool and you will see the current value and the upward value trend of this IROCs.
I don't want a thousand questions as my ad should answer any questions you might have.
I do however want to update this ad pertaining to the driver’s blinker and the passenger’s power window that I mention in the video. I have had both fixed and they are now in excellent working order.
As an FYI, I did notice that the T-Tops have key locks and they do work.
To start with, let me first say that I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information.
As to myself, I am a (68) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback that is at 100% with (1,200) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Australia and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers.
Some Brief History on the Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z28:
TheIROC-Z model of the ChevroletCamarofirst made its public appearance in 1985 as an add on option to the 1985CamaroZ28 model. TheIROC-Z was introduced in 1985 and continued through 1990. But its origin began long before that.IROCstands for International Race of Champions which is an automobile racing series similar to what NASCAR is.
The IROC (International Race of Champions) began using the Camaro as the official vehicle. To commemorate this, Chevy made an IROC model for the Camaro in 1985. The IROC-Z was option B4Z on the option sheet and could only be ordered with the Z28 option package. The IROC also came with a redesigned front fascia with a more rounded appearance and a deeper chin spoiler with lower ground effects.
In 1986, the IROC received slightly different engine packages. The 86 IROC is the armpit of the entire run. The 305 block in 1986 now had a one piece rear main seal. Visually, not too much changed on the 86 IROC. The government mandated 3rd brake light found its way to the top of the rear hatch near the roof line. Curiously, rear window louvers became a factory option this year. Some of the 86 IROCs came with the new 140mph speedometer. 86 was also the first year for the base coat/clear coat paint system as standard equipment.
1987 brought about only minor changes to the IROC. The motors now had the new center bolt style heads and manifolds had a revised bolt hole angle to accommodate the different heads. The motors also made the switch to hydraulic roller camshafts. This gave a 3.5% increase in gas mileage, and an extra 5 horsepower. Visually, the 87 is identical to the 86 model, except that the third brake light moved from up on the rear hatch, to down in the rear spoiler.
1990 saw the end to the IROC Z28 Camaro model.
Now for your consideration of this beautiful 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z28. I don’t know what to say about this Camaro other than it is wicked nice. Look at the Hagerty Value Change Over Time and you will see that the 1987 IROC Z28 in good condition has been trending up consistently for the last 14 months. Today’s average good value according to Hagerty is $14,600 plus 10% for T-tops and I assume a percentage for the 5-speed as well as the factory A/C. Just a great buy in today’s market.
FYI, The T-Tops do not leak.
As with all of the cars that I sell on eBay, the easiest way for a prospective buyer to get a sense for my cars is with tons of information and loads of photos and a video. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them and respond ASAP.

Exterior: My 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z28 appears to still retain all of the rust free, factory original body panels. It was repainted many years ago and looks very nice but does have some bubbling on the hood and a little on the rear lid. I was told by a very good body man that it would be pretty easy to sand out and repaint the hood and rear lid. The trim is in very good condition as well as all of the glass. The door handles and the side mirrors are also in very good condition. Marker lights, tail lights and bezels are all very good. All rims were sent away and refurbished and look as new. The T-tops are very good and do not rattle or leak. New door and T-top rubbers were installed.
Interior: The interior is basically all new. Leather seats. Carpet and door panels. Camaro mats. The dash has no warping, cracks or fading. The center console looks great with no cracks or staining. All factory belts are present and in good condition. Door locks and windows are in good working order with good window whiskers and weather stripping. All gauges are working. A/C needs to be re-charged.
Engine: What appears to be the original engine sits beautifully in the engine bay. There are no messy engine leaks or annoying exhaust puffing sounds within this Camaro’s engine compartment and the overall look is clean and neat in appearance.
Transmission: The 5-speed transmission appears to be the factory original. There are no leaks or funny noises and the transmission shifts up and down through the gears as it should with no issues.
Rear Axle: The rear axle appears to be the factory original 3.45:1 performance ratio limited slip. There are no funny noises, clunking or leaking observed. There is a new Hawks rear axle cover installed.
Trunk: The trunk is in very good condition with the working electric open and close option. The leather T-top slip cover is present. What appears to be the original spare tire and jack assembly is present.
" border="0" alt=" photo VIN Stickers_zpsshdc0v54.jpg"/>Undercarriage: The undercarriage is very nice showing no signs of rust or rot. Look at the extensive undercarriage photos which will display the undercarriage condition better than any description that I can conger up.
ID Photos:
WINNING BIDDER DOES NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO LOOK THIS CAR OVER AFTER THE AUCTION CLOSES TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THEY WANT TO BUY. INSPECTIONS "MUST" BE DONE PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.

The car will come with the old Maine Title, a Bill-of-Sale, the Maine Registration signed over to the new owner and a copy of the Maine law regarding titles which is on a form issued by the Maine Motor Vehicle Department
