1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Description

A 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 presented in a slick black-on-black is already ultra desirable. But when you see that this is a real-deal Super Sport with its original big block still under the hood, well then, this four-speed coupe is absolutely irresistible. A lot of colors from the 1970 Chevrolet pallet were nice, but when you've got a real-deal SS 396 on your hands, you really want the color to match its aggression. That's why when they... restored this coupe they gave it a glossy Tuxedo Black. As you look over the body, you can tell this was done to quite a high standard, so it showcases all the curves of the iconic '70 Chevelle. Plus, we all love the look of the dual white SS stripes. It's almost like formalwear on this Tuxedo Black car to give it the look of a brute in a suit. So you'll know what it feels like to pull up to a Cars & Coffee event and have all envious eyes on you. But more than just getting the fundamentals right, this coupe is pure desire on wheels thanks to all the right details like the bright form-fitting bumpers and aggressive cowl induction hood. You also get to tell everyone that all the correct SS badging - from the blacked-out grille to the center caps on the Mag wheels - is all earned on this genuine Super Sport. Open the door to exactly what you want to see in a muscle car. Bucket seats, a center console, and it's all finished in aggressive black. Once again, they took their time with the details here, so everything from the window cranks to the insignia trim on the seats looks nice. This SS was built around the driver, and so you get the best of everything. Your right hand will be instantly attracted to the Hurst shifter, and the left one will love the grip of the classic Chevy sports steering wheel. The large speedo and tach are easy to see right in front of you, and the auxiliary readouts give you a clear picture on what's going on under the hood. Yes, that is the original numbers-matching big-block V8 you see in the pictures. The motor looks terrific as fresh paint powerfully radiates from within the dark and tidy engine bay. While the car was called the SS 396, the motor actually displaced a larger 402 cubic-inches from the factory. If that wasn't enough, this big block has been subtly upgraded with an orange-painted Edelbrock intake and a Holley dual-feed four-barrel carburetor. Plus, long tube headers add even more power while also contributing to the growl of the dual exhaust. Not only does this look great, but also it was restored to be a driver. That's why you get full control over the big block with the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, the power steering, front disc brakes, sway bars front & rear, and Goodyear Eagle GTII tires make cruising a breeze. Here's a real-deal SS 396 presented in a full blackout package and with its original motor. This is a dream for a lot of us, so don't miss your chance. Call today!!!
