Work hard, play hard. The K5 Blazers have proven that they can do both very well and look good while doing it. This '76 model still has the muscle to get the job done, and at this price, is an inexpensive way to get into a classic Blazer. These trucks look really good in two-tone paint. It makes them look lower and leaner. Orange and white is always a good combination, and it is the factory correct... color for this one, so, score two for the home team. It was resprayed at some point, and looks good enough to cruise the strip or take to the hardware store. The bumpers shine bright and there are fog lights mounted on the front. This was the first year for the half cab design so when you have the hard top on, it is less prone to leak, and if its off and you get a little too wild with it, it is safer in a roll over. So that is was a significant design improvement. The tailgate glass can be retracted into the tailgate with a key at the gate, or with a switch on the dash. Inside this truck you will find a good-looking saddle colored interior with woodgrain accents on the door panels. The dash layout is classic Chevrolet. Simple, functional, easy to read gauges and easy to reach controls. A two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column along with the shifter for the automatic transmission while the 4WD control lever is mounted on the floor. A retrosound AM/FM radio has also been installed for your listening pleasure. The front bucket seats are comfortable but have a few miles on them and along with the carpets, are showing their age a bit. Leave the hard top at home, and take a ride in the woods, and I guarantee you won't notice the wear. Overall, a nice, comfortable interior that you won't mind climbing into in work cloths. Under the hood and under the truck, it all appears to be original and very stock. And that's a good thing. The 350 V8 is a reliable workhorse that makes plenty of power and torque to get the job done. It does have straight through mufflers mounted up high and out of the way which gives the truck a pretty nice sound. It is also equipped with air conditioning and the components are there, but the compressor is not hooked up. So, it may need a little love to get it back operational again. Of-course this is a 4WD, so the power flows back through a 3-speed automatic transmission to the transfer case and then out to solid axles mounted on leaf springs front and rear. The brakes are power assisted and are discs in the front. Power steering also helps wheel this big truck around, and it all sits on 31x10.50s mounted on steel wheels with trim rings. Buy it for work or buy it to play with. Or buy it for both reasons. This is your chance to get into a classic K5 at an affordable price.
