1977 Chevrolet Nova 2dr NON-Hatch - V8 - VIDEO
1977 Chevrolet Nova Base Description
*Re-listing as previous buyer is unresponsive and non-paying*
Hello,
Up for sale is my 1977 Chevy Nova. It's a great running, driving, shifting, and stopping car with what appears to be 112K miles or so. I purchased the car last spring, and am selling this and my daily driver to get a truck.
The car is really clean overall, it just needs cosmetics like a paint job and interior. Floor, frame rails, trunk are all rust-free, rockers, quarters, door panels all solid and mostly rust-free except for some bubbling here and there. Paint is non-original (car is supposed to be a beige color), and is showing its age, but the car gets a ton of thumbs up and plenty of looks and conversations. It does have some spots that are in primer, as you can see in pictures below.
It has a 305 mated to a turbo 400 (I believe) auto which runs/shifts great, but does smoke a bit on start up only sometimes, it does leak a few drops of oil after running. It looks to be coming from where the oil pan meets the timing cover - someone put a dress up kit on and RTV'd the cover to the block. Other than that, no leaks, and I drive it EVERYWHERE. Very reliable, a lot of fun to cruise with!
Everything in the car works except A/C which was removed at some point. Power steering works well, no whines. Suspension feels good and tight, car cruises at 60+mph easy. The wheels could probably use balancing, and it might need new tires soon. The wheels are some Cragars from the 90s, which I think look great on the car. They're in good shape overall except for one of the center caps which is dented up.
Here's a walk-around and drive video you can paste into your browser:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnYh1iCineM&t=145s (If link doesn't work for some reason, please feel free to let me know!)
I have a clean and clear IL title in-hand, all ready to go.
If you're looking for a light project like I was, this is a GREAT starting place. Cash only in person. $200 deposit is required within 24 hours of purchase. Full payment is due within 7 days of listing's end.
The car is located on the west side of Aurora, IL, just 5 minutes off of I-88. Buyer is responsible for picking the car up and any shipping arrangements.
