1966 Chevrolet Caprice Description

Get ready to step back in time with this unbelievable time capsule. This 1966 all matching number big block 396 Caprice is as close to 100% original as you'll find.I've been a classic car enthusiast all of my life and this is one of the finest example's of a true unrestored classic, survivor that I've ever seen.
Still retains it's original paint, original interior, matching number, drivetrain (including a12 bolt rear end),Original paint!!!
Rock solid, no rust.Original A/C compressor that still works!
The matching number 396 runs exceptionally smooth, you can barely hear it run.By far the smoothest running big block Chevrolet I've ever seen. The factory Quadrajet is perfect! Never even a hint of hesitation, not on start off or when the 4 barrel kicks in.Very dependable, drive anywhere.Starts as soon as the starter turns, you can't hardly touch the starter without it cranking. The original turbo 400 transmission shifts excellent, smooth shifting, responsive, and kicks down into lower gears surprisingly well.Runs and drives like an absolute dream! Again, it's like taking a trip back to 1966.Rides like you're riding on air yet handles surprising good. Not even a hint of play in the steering.Just really unbelievable how great this car drives.
Very rare console and gauge package (1 of 140 with gauge package) and all the gauges work!Still has a hint of new car smell in the trunk.
The original lacquer shines remarkably for it's age.
Original build sheet as well as dealer paperwork, owners manual etc.Has a very few flaws, there's a few nick's and scratches but remember the paint is 52 years old.
There is one noticeable dent in the right rear quarter panel, I've done my best to show it in the photos. The driver seat has a couple of tears and the dash pad is cracked. The only thing's that I know of that don't work are the clock, the original am radio and the dash lights. I assume it's something in the switch. All the headlights, taillights, turn indicators backup lights, A/C, horn etc. all work as they should. The pressure hose on the power steering has a leak. It appears to be the factory hose so I haven't replaced it and it is only the hose. The headliner has one seam that the thread has turned loose and one hole in the fabric. There's a new headliner ordered and the labor has already been paid for.Honestly since it's the original headliner, I would probably have someone resew the seam and not worry about the small hole. I will let the buyer choose.Has all 4 bumper guards.Investment grade car that can only go up in value. Have more pictures and videos that I can send upon request. No disappointments!
I hate to let this one go, this is a once in a lifetime car.
Truly a great automobile, in amazing unrestored condition, not to mention ultra rare.Cars like this don't come up for sale often.
I have done my best to represent the car true.I believe in 100% disclosure. If you have any questions feel free to email or call Steve 770-991-3185 no text please.
