The 454 SS was produced for just three years by Chevrolet, 1990 - 1993 by Chevrolet installing their big-block V8 into a short-box C1500 Sportside pickup. The truck was a performance powerhouse and was appropriately colored mean Onyx Black. This sleeper rear-wheel-drive truck packed a 7.4L V8 or 454 cubic inches. The truck has 255hp and lots of torque: 405lbs/ft at 2400 rpm, which allows it to spring to 60 in under eight seconds, which was Ford Mustang GT territory... at the time. This clean 454SS is in very nice shape and runs strong with plenty of performance for anyone that expects a lot from their truck. The current owner has done some maintenance recently including a new fuel pump, fuel filter, a new transmission was installed, all new rubber brake hoses, new brake master cylinder, freshly greased the posi rear end and all new tires. Other features include 15-inch wheels with Cooper radial tires, tilt steering wheel, tonneau cover, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, train horn, Kenwood CD player, a backup camera, car cover, power windows, and power locks and spare tire.
