1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible Description

Please Note: There are 76 photos at the end of this description. There is also a video available on my YouTube channel.

This brand-new listing is from a private collection. This Gorgeous, FRAME-OFF Restored, Super-Rare, NUMBERS-MATCHING, 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible has a SS350ci/295HP motor and 3-speed Heavy-Duty manual transmission (It’s probably 1 of 1 ordered this way!). This Camaro is very rare since most RS/SS cars were big block and 4-speed equipped. This awesome car is well-equipped with power steering, power brakes, bucket seats, console, power top, 12-bolt rear-end and sway bar.

The car sat for 15 years before being purchased in 1999. It underwent a 5-year restoration with color change from LeMans blue to the Ultra Black and was put back on the road in 2005. There are less than 10,000 miles on the restoration and the car still looks NEW! It has 68,000 original miles! The body is laser straight and the paint is beyond show quality!! Not even micro scratches! Looks like it was just painted today! A true MIRROR FINISH!!! The car has an aggressive stance and great street appearance. It has been stored in a heated garage and covered since the restoration. The car runs and handles like new. Everything works! Turn Key! FLY IN AND DRIVE HOME.

There is a low reserve on the auction to protect some value – but this is definitely a chance to purchase a nicely-restored car at a very reasonable price. If the car does not meet the Reserve we will work with the highest bidder to try to make the sale.

Body: The body is all-original GM. No repairs or accidents from what I can tell. Again the deep black paint is stunning and is 10 miles deep! Body gaps are nice and tight. All of the chrome is in great shape.

Interior: The restored interior is in excellent shape! No rips or tears. Seats are soft and comfy. Dash is perfect and all the gauges and electrical components work! All the glass is in very nice condition. Convertible top was also replaced and is in like-new condition. No rips or tears and operates perfectly.

Drivetrain: The rebuilt SS350ci motor is original and engine stamps match the body’s VIN. The engine does not smoke or make any unusual noises and has awesome power. The transmission appears to be the original unit and operates very nicely with no issues with the shifting or clutch. The 12-bolt rear-end appears to be the original as well.

Undercarriage: Is in excellent condition and detailed very nicely! No patch panels or damage. The exhaust system is stainless steel and is an aftermarket system. Body mounts are in great condition. Emergency brake system functions too! New rims, tires and trim rings were installed 1,500 miles ago. P215/65R15 on the front and 255/60R15 on the rear.

Items to note:

There maybe be a couple few minor blemishes from being a driver but nothing major. No major chips, scratches or paint defects!

Title is a clear Ohio title showing 65,870 ACTUAL miles on title with the odometer showing 68,546 miles.

I realize that it is difficult to purchase a vehicle you may not be able to inspect in person. I build vehicles too – so I try to show you everything I would want to see if I was buying a vehicle for myself. As you can see by my feedback (100% positive), I describe my vehicles accurately. I have sold other vehicles on eBay to happy buyers worldwide so you can be confident when making a purchase.

I have made my best effort to accurately represent the car based on my expertise as a vehicle builder, what I have observed in evaluating it and preparing it for sale, and what I have been told by the owner, but this is the extent of my knowledge. Please ask questions before bidding! This is being solid AS IS with no warranty or guarantees and is up to the buyer to verify any and all info listed above in the description! This vehicle is also for sale locally. You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle. Again, this is a classic vehicle that has been driven and enjoyed. It’s not perfect or a museum piece so there may be minor imperfections in the body, brite work and glass. Anything to note is listed above.

Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours and a non-refundable $2,000 Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as bank wire only. Due to space limitations and other upcoming auctions, buyer MUST take possession within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are agreed upon. I do not finance. No trade or barter.

I am not responsible for any fees or taxes associated with registration, license plates or any out-of-pocket costs. Nor am I responsible for emissions compliance. Buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes & fees as well as title, registration, license plates and emissions compliance in the State/County that the vehicle will be registered. No warranty, sold as is.

Shipping is the Buyer’s responsibility. I will not ship but will work with your shipping company. A list of contact information for some of the shipping companies previous Buyers have used can be provided upon request for your quotation and shipping needs. Pick-up arrangements (by the Buyer or the shipping company) must be coordinated in advance to insure my availability since I am often in and out on business. Local delivery may be possible within 200 miles of zip code 44056 for an extra charge. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and related arrangements and payments. Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises.

Insurance: I highly recommend that the buyer put insurance on the vehicle upon purchase as I am not responsible for any damage incurred after leaving my premises.

Good luck and happy bidding!
