At that time, the car was in the early phase of restoration including a 400 SBC and M-21. He and two other friends immediately got to work finishing the restoration. In 1995 the body, paint, and floors were done privately. In 2008 they installed the 409 (.030 over), engine done by R&R Engineering in Wheeling, IL. The 409 under the hood is connected to the 4 - speed manual Muncie M22. He drove the car about 1,000 miles per year over the last 10 years.
