This is a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible. This car started off in Kansas in 1955 but moved to Tucson, AZ in 1957. The current owner bought the car in the 1980's where it underwent years of restoration with original GM parts when they were available in the 1980's. The 55 underwent a frame-off restoration where the floor panels were replaced before the car was sprayed in original colors with lacquer paint. The 265ci 2 barrel engine was rebuilt with hardened seats and stainless steel valves and larger 11" clutch. Behind the engine is the time-tested 3 speed on the tree transmission with the dealer optioned overdrive. This car features many factory options as well as aftermarket A/c. The A/C was installed and never charged or used due to the car only being used in the winter months here in Arizona. This Bel Air has a little over 10,000 miles since the restoration was completed in the early 90's and even was awarded 937 points out of 1000 in 1994. This car is a driver and shows great but was driven and has minor flaws and imperfections from age and driving. If you have any questions please contact us for more information.
