With a fiberglass reinforced mono leaf rear spring added to the automatic transmission models, an added auxiliary electric cooling fan behind the radiator for better engine cooling, a power driver seat and an improved anti-theft system which assisted with eliminating the ignition issues of times past, this was one of the best... example to come out of the factory for the C3 yet. Produced between two factories in Bowling Green, KY and St. Louis, MO, this was the only model year to be built in two factories simultaneously. Along with the sale comes with a copy of the built sheet and service manuals, and owner's manual. The car was restored in 2004 and remains in excellent condition. When the engine was rebuilt it was spruced up with new flat top pistons, a mild comp cam and lifters, and the heads were ported. The engine was balanced. It retains its original exhaust manifolds and they were ceramic coated. It was given a high-torque starter. The vette has true dual exhaust with turbo mufflers. It also has a DeWitt Aluminum radiator. Options include power windows, remote mirrors, power brakes, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, chrome air cleaner, cruise control, alloy wheels and more. The car remains numbers matching. The rebuilt transmission was given a shift kit with a 2500 RPM stall converter. The chassis was given a fiberglass rear spring, steeroids rack and pinion steering, stainless steel calipers, all new u-joints, balanced drive shaft, rebuilt rear differential with 3.07 gears, rebuilt rear trailing arms with wheel bearings, upgraded rear strut rods and all suspension bushings, rebuilt front suspension with new MOOG control arm bushings and ball joints, KYB gas shocks and new fuel tank.
