1964 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible Description
"Barn Find" Project Car 1964 CHEVELLE SUPER SPORT CONVERTIBLE 283cu" Powerglide automatic.
VIN = 4 5867 B 100299
4 = 1964 58 = Malibu Super Sport, 8-cylinder 67 = Convertible B = Baltimore Plant 100299 = Was the 299 chevelle to come off the Baltimore line.
Bought from the second owner who claims to have purchased it sometime in 1965, original documentation shows it was originally titled on Nov 27,1963, she claims to have purchased it a year later.
Car appears to have all it's original equipment, motor, transmission etc. No VIN numbers are on engine pad but shows it is from August of 1963. The VIN number last 3 digits are 299 indication it was the 299th chevelle off the Baltimore plant. So this coordinates with the number on the engine pad.
This car is rough and needs work, which is why I'm selling it as a project car at the low price. But I do consider it a Barn Find given that it was sitting unmoved since sometime in 1983.
Although this car is very rough, I believe it will be a very valuable car when finished.
It's a convertible, It's a Super Sport, has a 283 cu" V8, Powerglide automatic, with Super Sport bucket seat interior.
This EXACT CAR sold at Mecum Kissimmee 2018 for $49,500. If you look at the pictures, you'll see this car as it will look when restored.
