We sell all cars as-is, which means the buyer isresponsible for any and all repairs, according to the Ohio Buyer’s Guide (includes body, mechanical, frame and interior). We do our best to describe all vehicles as accurately as possible, but keep in mind that opinions may differ and that it’sthe buyer’s responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. We advise all bidders to get a third party to check out the vehicle if they can’t make it out themselves to ensure their complete satisfaction. This must be done before bidding. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car. If the car starts and runs onto the truck, but it does not start at arrival, that is the buyer’s responsibility (cars may be damaged on a long, bouncy trip). Once the car is paid for, all buyers should put insurance on it because they now own the car. We will work with your shipper or you can call Mike, our shipper, for a rate at 970-300-1020. We leave all buyers positive feedback. All sales are final.
Thank you for looking at our 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. This car has 104K miles and a clean title. It has automatic, V8, power steering and brakes, tilt and cruise, telescopic wheel, AM/FM CD, power driver's seat, aluminum wheels, and a removable fiberglass top. The body of the car, for being 35 years old, looks fantastic. The interior of the vehicle is also in good condition. The driver's seat has a split in the middle of the bottom, which I'm sure is easily repairable. One of the side light markers has a small crack in it less than an inch long, and there's another replacement light that's in the back trunk of the car that comes with it. We just replaced the water pump on the car and did a couple other minor repairs this past week.
The mechanic said that the frame of the car is in very good condition and I also took pictures of underneath of the vehicle so you can actually see that what I'm talking about is a positive thing. The car starts, runs and drives great. The air conditioning blows ice cold. The automatic transmission shifts correctly, and the car has plenty of the power with no bogging, smoking or ticking. The exhaust system rattles, so it may need a couple clamps to fix it. The hood latch of the car broke on us because we may not have opened it up correctly but you can still open and close it. It will need the hood latch replaced. The passenger's power window motor turns but the window is not moving. It probably has to be glued back on the rail. It's an older car and these things happen.
The ignition key when you go to start the car sometimes doesn't turn immediately but when you play with it the car starts no problem. We just lubricated it, hoping that would fix it. All that said, it's a bunch of little things that you expect on just about any 35 year old car you'd be bidding on. I'd also like to mention that I have a smoketop that I'm going to give an opportunity to the new owner to purchase for $300 if they want it. If not, I'm going to sell it on eBay for $400 to $500 (you will see it in the pictures). It does not come with the car, but it's available with the car.If you're looking for a clean, old Corvette that's reliable, comfortable and a lot of fun to cruise in, we think this Corvette will do all that for you and more.
