1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Description

I am helping a good friend, who is the original owner, sell his really nice Corvair. This Corvair will make the new owner very happy!
Bought new in February 1962 at Red and White Chevrolet in Lakewood, Colorado! Great history on this car. Well maintained original classic with mild custom upgrades over the years. Driven first 10 years then stored in 1972 when owner put priority in returning to work the family farm. Brought it back out of storage in 1982 and had local mechanic rebuild engine at 95k, low 5000 miles estimate pampered since. Joined local Corvair club in late 90's driven to club activities, a few regional conventions and added mild custom upgrades for fun.
Just over 100,000 miles has been garaged until the last few years. The paint has normal wear, door dings, minimal scratches, water spotting or sun blemishes, but it still has shine since it has been covered most times. It is 56 years old, so do not expect a show car. It shines up with polish by hand, who knows what a pro buffing could do or a repaint could make it a stunning show car. It has never been in an accident. It was used regularly just two years ago, but little miles since then. Starts easily and drives straight down the road with all new tires as of August 2018. I am amazed at how clean shiny all the nuts bolts screws are throughout this Corvair, got to love that nice dry climate here in Colorado! I have had a lot of wow moments recently when looking over this wonderful Corvair, such as when I looked under the back seat cushion, not often do you see how a Corvair came from the factory just like it was back in '6, just sitting there all tidy now in 2018.
Here are some other items of note:* Honduras maroon* 6 cylinder Rear engine air-cooled* 102hp* 4 speed manual shift (rare)* 5 new tires* Good brakes* starts right up* Runs, drives straight* Clear glass rear and 4 doors, windshield crack on passenger side* Converted to Alternator* Custom battery box fits standard sized battery* Custom Fiero front bucket seats, super comfortable* Front seat belts* Interior very nice, black rear vinyl seat and black carpeting* Solid floors* Doors shut like on vault, solid* Center console* Excellent headliner, white* Padded dash, no cracks, dash cover* Front/Rear arm rests* good bright chrome on bumpers and trim* No rust in bottom of trunk (ebay limit # of pics)* Front bumper equipped for tow bar set-up (see in trunk pic), tow bar included* working horn, lights, signals, wipers, instrument panel, speedo, dome and glovebox light etc., amazing!
