1981 Chevrolet El Camino Description

1981 Chevy El Camino, this vehicle has been repainted, the body is SOLID, the quarter panels are solid with NO signs of rust, the underside of the vehicle looks Solid.

The engine was replaced with a Chevy 350 that was professionally built, the transmission was replaced with a 700R4 transmission, the exhaust has been replaced with long tube Headers-true dual exhaust pipes-and Flowmaster mufflers, the engine cooling system has been replaced and has an Aluminum radiator and Flex cooling fan, the ignition system has been replaced with a Mallory HEI and regular wires and plugs, the fuel pump has been replaced and it feeds a Holley Carburetor, and the air is filtered by a Edelbrock Air Cleaner. The transmission holds 1st gear a little longer and has a firm 1st to 2nd shift. The engine and transmission work was completed in 2013 and this use to be a daily driver.

Just this week the Holley carburetor was disassembled and cleaned at a shop here in Vegas, just for you, so you will have a great running engine. This engine starts by just turning the key, no pumping the pedal is needed, it runs smooth and starts easy.

The wheels and tires have been replaced with 16" Torque Thrust II and BFG Sport Comp 2's all tires have a lot of tread except for the right rear =, the carpet has been replaced, the Interior is in good condition, however the dash has cracks (see pictures), the speedometer is no longer working, and the interior panels have been painted black, some panels have paint pealing and have been touched up, but there's no tears in the fabric, and the door panels-seats-ceiling-sun visors-and-carpet are in good condition. It also has a sprayed on bed liner, so you don't have to worry about scratching the bed. Pioneer radio and Pioneer door speakers you will need a small amp for the door speakers, the radio is connected to the speakers in the dash. There are also 2 5/8" mechanical full sweep gauges for oil pressure, temperature, and voltage. The oil pressure sits at about 60psi, the temperature sits at 180 degrees, and the voltage is between 13-14 volts depending on which accessories are on. The headlights have also been replaced with a High Intensity Discharge system (H.I.D.).

Remember this a vehicle from 1981, so of coarse it's not perfect, but for 37 years old it's in great condition. This is a vehicle you can be proud to show off! A lot of money has been put in it and you will be happy with it.
