1967 Chevrolet Impala Description

There is no better car to have than a full-sized convertible with fall on the way. Pony cars are nice, but if you want to be joined (willingly) by friends or family on your trip over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house, then the big comfortable bench seats in this car have a big comfortable appeal. If you decide to head out for a little personal time, then there is a nice little treat under the hood for the driver. Check it out. Nantucket Blue is the factory original color on this car and what a beautiful color it is. It has kind of a soothing effect just by looking at it. When the roof is up, it looks like a coupe with a black vinyl roof, but put the roof down with the touch of a button, and it's an open-air cruiser ready for a ride across town or across the country. All the chrome on this car is really sharp and compliments the Blue very nicely. Up front it trims out an eggcrate grill which incorporates quad headlights and wraps around onto the leading edge of the front fenders with a big shiny bumper underlining it. Chrome side molding runs down the beltline of the car all the way to the rear bumper. An Impala badge appears on the rear fender that bulges up and out adding a muscular look to the car. Another chrome bumper dresses out the rear of the car with a couple chrome exhaust tips peeking out from underneath. Open the door and you will find a Blue interior that is built for comfortable cruising in style. The door panel itself sets the tone with a button tufted look to its upper panel outline in delicate chrome piping and a long armrest that makes for a comfortable ride. The big bench seat has plenty of room for 3 across, or maybe 2 if it's just you with your significant other held close. With a back seat set up the same way, this might just be the perfect car for drive in movies! The big blue steering wheel has a leaping Impala button in the center and the shifter for the 3-speed automatic trans on the column. The dash is stock except for a Bowtie radio that looks stock, but it really an iPod compatible FM radio for your listening pleasure. Needless to say, the trunk on this car is huge, so there is no need to pack light for that trip to Grandmas house (or anywhere else). Pop the hood and you will find a healthy small block engine that has plenty of power to haul this cruiser around in style and the icing on the cake is that it looks good while doing it. There is a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner feeding dual 4-barrel Edelbrock carbs. They are plumbed with Aeroquip fuel lines and sit on a matching Edelbrock intake. Headers get the spent gasses out efficiently and give the car a nice sound while doing it. Chrome valve covers are embossed with Chevrolet in black along with a Bowtie in orange and are complimented by a chrome alternator and orange spark plug wires complete the look. Power front disc brakes assure that you can haul this ride back down from speed if you decide to let the horses (or Impala?) run, and the rubber meets the road through 225/70R15 tires in the back and 215/70R15 in the front mounted on steel wheels with polished trim rings and centers. Personal time, family time, any time. This convertible is sweet ride. Come on down, check it out, and start thinking about where you would go, and with whom. Then take it home and start packing.
