I would prefer a local Seattle sale over an out of state sale so I reserve the right to end the auction early as this Corvette is listed locally, I may trade for an old motorcycle-what do you have? If nobody wants to buy it now for $5000 it sells to the high bidder because this Corvette is No Reserve! Read the entire description below and call me if you have any questions or want to check it out.
1971 Corvette Stingray t-top project car with a 1978 454 block and automatic transmission. Car hasn't run in many years and a clean up/restoration was started by the previous owner to return it to stock from a drag car but then things stalled out. I bought this Corvette in a package deal to get what I wanted so that's why this Corvette is for sale. I noticed there are no seats, no exhaust, no taillights and no fenders gills, I'm sure there are other things missing but that's what I see immediately. There are some extra loose parts included with the car including 2 Dynamax mufflers so check out all the pictures to see all the details.
There is a single Recaro seat for the drivers seat and that makes sense because you only need 1 seat in a drag car. The engine casting number is 14015445 and the number just to the right of that and behind the distributor is GM Z P *CFD. The alternator is blocking the engine VIN stamp but the number above the timing cover is TF20XXZ7(actual X's). No key so I couldn't jump the car to try and crank it over so plan on rebuilding the engine to be safe if you are wondering about the engine condition. I do know the brakes need going through/rebuilding because the previous owner was in the middle of doing that which is actually a good sign because nobody works on the brakes unless they already know about the engine first.
Miles say 8,634 but I'm sure that's 108,634 although it could be more but I doubt it. Body appears stock and uncut with a couple fender cracks starting on 2 of the fenders, there is an interior main hoop roll bar with door bars all tied into the body and frame but the previous owner cut out just the door bars for a stock interior look so only the main hoop roll bar remains. As expected with a drag car, there is no windshield post vin or drivers door vin, the only identification tag I found was the a-pillar trim tag so selling with lost title - ignore the eBay salvage title designation because eBay does not have a no title designation option and salvage title was the closest option available to inform you. If you've never bought a car with a lost title before just google 'Vermont title loophole' to learn how you can get a title for any no-title car or just buy a title for this Vette at cartitles.c0m. Your new Corvette is available for inspection before the auction ends in Seattle, WA anytime during the day Mon-Sat 9am-6pm. Call me at 2O6 725-CELL Jim anytime 7-7 if you have any questions.
It would be beneficial to both parties to talk live after the auction ends to arrange final details so call me Sunday night after you win it. If you've never bought a car on eBay before call me and we'll talk to get your questions answered so you will feel comfortable before you bid. Since this auction ends on a Sunday night when everyone will be home there will be last minute bidders trying to steal your new Corvette away from you so bid wisely and use ebay's <a href="http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/automatic-bidding.html">Proxy Bid </a>system to your advantage.. Good luck and thank you for winning!! ls5 coupe ttop lt1
