1968 Chevrolet Impala Caprice Description

Up for auction is my 1968 Caprice estate wagon. Its color is Ash Gold with Factory woodgrain and saddle interior which is only offered on a station wagon model for some unknown reason and is the most optioned one I've seen around with its original numbers matching born with drivetrain. Factory 396-325 hp (IV) code big block engine,Turbo 400 (CA) code trans,12 bolt hd rear.Loaded example with power steering, power 4 piston disc brakes including Rally wheels, power windows with power slider in tailgate, power bench seat, Very Rare factory Headrests, tilt wheel, cruise control,Stereo 8 track player with kick panel speakers,Cold Comfortron climate control Air conditioning!!,Full tinted glass,Door edge guards,Bumper guards,Roof rack,Tailgate Air deflector and a few other small options I'm forgetting. Every option on this car works well except for the 8 track player which I think needs a belt.I drove the car all last year to lots of shows and had it in the Thanksgiving parade with no issues and even used it this year to get the family Christmas tree but I feel it's time to move on. Car and drivetrain has a little over 100,000 miles on it but runs s great with no lifter noise or smoke. Cruise works dead on and the air is cold. Car is a survivor car with all it's original drivtrain, original Interior with very little wear for a 50yr old car!Still a lot of original paint and nice chrome and stainless. Woodgrain is fading in spots but still nice for being so old. Glass is excellent.Original sheetmetal showing no signs of rust and the original floors, trunkpan, drop offs and tailgate are in excellent shape. Please come and look at it and see it in person if you can. Call 267-246-6903 for more info and pics.I did find and preserve the ORIGINAL BUILDSHEET for the wagon showing it left the factory just the way I described it with over 20+ Options.
