1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z 5.0L G92 TPI V8 Manual
1989 Chevrolet Camaro G92 Iroc-Z 5 speed TPI Description
Up for auction is my 1989 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc-Z, with G92 performance package and 305TPI / 5-speed (World Class T5) combo. This was the first year where the G92 option was more than just a performance axle code. It also got you the dual cat exhaust, engine oil cooler, 4 wheel disc brakes, larger camshaft for the 305 TPI (bumped up stock output to 230HP / 300TQ), close ratio 5-speed transmission (MK6), and 3.45 posi rear. Here's a little rare novelty option for the cold climate crowd....it's got a factory engine block heater too!! (No...I have never plugged it in!). The undercarriage is great shape for its age. There is some surface rust on front crossmember and rear axle housing. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition as you can see in the photos, the floor pans are solid and rust free, and the original engine and transmission perform as they should. The car has Koni Red adjustable struts and welded on subframe connectors. Other tasteful upgrades include a Hurst shifter, 52mm throttle body, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and some mild porting in the upper intake. This car handles extremely well, and the torquey 305 TPI engine backed by the 5 speed trans make it a blast to drive. Has newer BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2 tires with less than 2k on them. The battery is an AGM type, and is slightly larger than stock. Really must see in person and drive to appreciate. The stereo has been upgraded with a CD player with Bluetooth, sub EQ, a 10" subwoofer, and two compact (hidden) digital amplifiers. It really sounds great (the car AND the stereo). Has a Magnaflow muffler and through pipes have been installed in catalyst provisions. The car is either kept in my garage or under a cover when not in use. I drive this car every opportunity I get. If I didn't work so much, I would drive it a lot more. I have owned this car for 13 years. The photos speak for themselves. Paint shows very nicely, a few touch ups here and there. There were only 1,426 G92 cars produced in 1989, so its somewhat rare. Not a motivated seller, and reserve the right to end auction at any time, as I am considering local offers as well. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. There is no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for any and all costs related to shipping/loading/driving etc.. A $500 (USD) non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end.Serious inquiries only.
