1963 Chevrolet Impala SS Description

Documented Red on Red 1963 Impala SS 2 Door Sport Coupe with the Legendary 409 Dual Quad 425HP Engine Option.

One of the most desirable Chevrolets ever produced this Concours Restored body off Restoration has been performed to the highest standards.

This Red on Red beauty was judged at the 2010 Classic Chevy International Winter Nationals and received 990 points out of 1000!

For the discriminating collector who wants an authentic 409/425HP in exceptional condition look no farther. This Impala is not only rare but it is documented to prove it. It still has Its Original window sticker showing the 425 Horsepower Option and all the details to verify it was restored as it was originally built.

It was a cover feature car with an inside article in the November 2010 issue of Chevy Classics and a copy is included with the car along with a show board displaying the issue!

This is a Numbers Matching Drivetrain with the Original Engine, 4-Speed Close Ratio Transmission and 4:11 Posi-traction Rear Differential. It Has the Correct Dual Quad pieces including the Carter AFB Carburetors #3361S / 3362S that have been restored to new specs and perform flawlessly. Everything has been restored and rebuilt and dialed in, it needs nothing but to be enjoyed! The engine compartment has the correct factory finishes, markings and all the components are very neat and tidy.

This Impala accelerates the way it should, the suspension holds the road very comfortably without squeaks and rattles and it holds the road well when taking turns even with the polyglass tires.

The fit and finish of the very straight body is striking with excellent panel gaps, bright trim and very nice glass. The body panels and floors are original GM Steel and the doors and windows open and close with ease. The gorgeous Ember Red paint has a remarkable shine and only has a few imperfections upon close inspection. All of the chrome and brite work trim is in exceptional condition.

The suspension and underbody are highly detailed in the correct factory finishes with correct markings, tags and spiral shocks. The underbody is finished in the factory red oxide which beautifully shows off the perfect floors and panels.

The striking Red interior is as good as it gets with no detail left undone; everything has been restored better than new. Everything works, even the AM/FM factory radio with front and rear speakers, the Tach and the Clock.

I have made every effort to represent this vehicle very accurately to the best of my knowledge. I will have the car available during the auction listing for inspections by potential buyers.

I welcome inspections during the auction listing. If you plan to have an inspection, it must be completed before the auction ends not after you win the auction! Shipping is the buyers responsibility but I will assist in working with your shipper.
